Running similar spec to what you had with the Spec C. would like to try and get up to 550 BHP, but would be happy with anything over 500 BHP. Been looking at the MLR sprints,
Car will not be ready for Silverstone. but would like to run in one or two of the other rounds.
It will be interesting to see just how far you do go with the Hawkeye.
Which ever way you go with it, Good look, Nice car too.

Hi Bez,
For road use it is such a better car than the Spec C was in the comfort sense of things. For sheer "grunt" it doesn't hold a light to the Spec C, but that is only to be expected tbh. The Spec C had reached 600bhp in it's latter stages of tune.
I have a new turbo to try over the coming weeks and dependant on what happens this week, I may be entering the 1st round of the MLR Sprint. I will be trying some new chassis mods over the next few months, but have no further plans to increase power much. It's simply not needed for a road car and that is predominantley what the car is used for at the moment.
Really pleased I made the change as I had come to the end of road (for me) with the Spec C and my change in remit meant I wanted something for different reasons.

Well after 10.5 years of being a Subaru Owner, with the last 8 being with the same 'X' plate Classic....it's time to upgrade to a Hawkeye.
Totally Std at the mo' apart from Prodrive Performance Pack.
Loving the torque, but hating the lack of power and noise at the moment, but this can be changed....in time....and when funds allow.
Anway....had it 2 weeks and enjoying getting to know it.
Arrived home after 300mile drive from Yorkshire
Snow Foam
Clay
This was just off the back of the boot
Waxed
Engine Clean

There are alot of products around and alot of them shout how good they are....but one product still works as well as it always did..........GUNK.
Warm engine, cover battery with plastic bag
Spray on Gunk
Spray off with pressure washer, obviously with a little care around electrical connectors
Repeat and use paint brush to get into those tight spots
Keeping engine running all the time and leave running for 30mins after to ensure all dries out.
Done this on 3 scoob's now without problems.
The above took approx 2 hours.

That engine looks great! Mine is in almost identical condition to the 'before' shots, due to the previous owner not cleaning it.
I'm off to buy some Gunk!! Cheers!

Just looked on mine and on the left hand cornder it says "STI", then underneath "Impreza" and underneath that "Type UK", so all in that corner and nothing on the right near the key lock. From what I can see this is the norm, so sounds like someone as some point has decided to move the STI badge over (perhaps it was involved in a shunt or just needed a respray for some reason so the garage didn't bother to check where the badge was supposed to go and got it wrong when they stuck the badge back on). Occasionally some people will have the "Subaru" badge over on the right hand side but I don't. I quite like it without as it is un-cluttered. The word Subaru doesn't appear anywhere on my car in fact.

Very nice! Has your top mount intercooler shrunk? Jokin .. stunning car. I assume you have gone for a front mount. How do you find the turbo lag with the front mount? Or was it on the car when you bought it? Just wondered at what revs the boost cuts in compared to the stock top mount. Lovely car. I picked mine up just over a month ago. Very addicted to that "woosh" of wind as the boost kicks in and you can literally hear the turbo wind up (more so in your turbo as it must be bigger than the stock VF43 sti turbo ) and every other car on the road appears to be at a standstill as you accelerate.

Yes mate it is, use an old credit card to to remove the badges, saw between the badge and the paint work do not try to prise the badges off, clean of the rest of the sticky pad off the badge itself and the paint work, i used surgical spirit BP (from boots) leave it soak for a couple of minutes then use the card to remove it all.
give the boot a polish to get rid of the grime marks that build up around the badges then use 3M double sided tape to restick them, masking tape the position to give you a guide when re sticking the badges...
