Im just going to go with std timing figures to start with which have to be better than what they are set at the moment, I think trying to swing the timing with the engine installed will be tricky but not impossible. A dyno would be good but very expensive.
After fitting these if I get some, can some one advise how to best set the cam timing? Who can do this in North West area??
Is it on the rolling road, turn a few degrees, run the car, turn a few more degrees? Until best torque / power is seen ??
Or is it "just" a matter of setting the cam timing to the subaru recommended values for max lift at degrees crank rotation?
Any suggested settings ... for MY94 with STi 4 heads/cams on 2 litre with 20g turbo, 3"exhaust, headers etc. and Apexi PFC.
What are the main benefits of adjusting the cam timing, I believe it improves mid range??

I think the best place to start for those using standard cam profiles is to have the timing set correct to the factory spec, once done this can yield good results as standard cam timing can vary and you will see a improvement.
It’s not a simple to have done for that matter and requires the motor to be removed to be correctly set up and this is time consuming most use the Lift at TDC method using a DTI gauge. Although there are other ways.
Once correct timing has been confirmed it can be altered to the individual spec, results will vary and sometimes won’t be as good as standard cam timing.
Very breifly, retarding the inlets will move your power band further up the rev range but in doing this you will loose out on low down power.
Advancing the inlets will increase low down but you will lose out on top end.
You may also need to consider mapping tweeks depending on how far you adjust the cam timing, this should all be set up correctly by your Tunner.

Update .
We are now underway with the 93-97 cams .
Been pretty busy but still found time to get some pics
After all the pulleys are turned they then go round to Gearcutting .
Each pulley is clocked true to within .0020 metric to the bore.
And the stainless middle's
Got inside on of the action
And Voila
Bit more to do yet though....

Hi I definately want a set - I phoned you up a week or two ago.
My CP coated pistons are going to be 4-5 weeks so I have time to wait for these.
This is for a P1 - hard anodised.

Hi ,
The p1 cams are now made. It did say a couple of times before that the pre-order prices was 350 and had to be paid up front,
Best I can do now is 385 delivered as it is not fair to the other guys that have paid weeks ago and that have waited , thanks chris

Finished !
Just finished the 99 cams! Quite a bit different to the earlier cams,
Took a couple of pics before I despatched 2 sets today.... rest will go monday
The pulleys are made to the highest quality and I am very happy with the finished products,
Made with the m5 stainless helicoils and 12.9grade m5 bolts which are very strong.
Thanks everyone that helped me out!

Those look good, better than the prototypes for sure. Just to make sure, you've not made the pickups for the crank sensor from stainless have you? They need to be mild steel to work.
