After some discussions with CDF racing, we will be testing these pulleys on our car over the coming months. They will tested on track and drag environments and put to the test with power up to 600bhp. We will keep the thread updated.

Default Finished product.

All ready for testing now. There is not a great weight loss but the main purpose is that they are now adjustable , hard anodised & stainless centre's . The are adustable 15 degress advance 15 retard . Not that you would ever need that much .

Testing next

Don't use stainless bolts, high tensile steel will be stronger, 12.9 cap heads with nice thick washers wouldn't be a bad bet.

We can't make them yet as we don't have any stock pulleys to copy . They are not exactly the same as 93-97 cams . If they were we could just use those

They are Keyed differently and the cam trigger sensors have a thicker edge , thats the reason we need sample's

As above. You already make them, but you just don't know it.

Agree with Paul, i will send you over some 99 pulleys to have a look at.

Also to update the thread the pulleys are now up and running on the car so testing has begun, i will post some pics in the next few days.

MY99 pulleys = MY01-MY05 pulleys with MY93-97 crank sensor pickups.

I honestly can't believe after all the hints, nobody even bothered to ask me. It's easy, just take an early style outer and fit a new age hub to it, et voila, MY99/00 pulleys. Now just make them lighter and they'll be pretty good.

NOooooo 12.9 grade are very liable to hydrogen embrittlement (google it) and are only safe if kept sealed form water (especially salt water atmosphere like the sea side) 10.9 max.

Fit 12.9 grade and you may as well take a sledgehammer to your engine in 6 months time!

Good point but the issue of hydrogen embrittlement only applies to zinc plated 12.9’s from what I understand.

Just to update everyone .

The cams will do on general sale in October, By this time they will have had plenty of testing .

I range we can offer is going to be 93-05 but I will still need to gather some 99 cams - hopefully Neil can let me borrow these ..

They will be offered with Stainless and Titanium centres

The main concern about the adjustable cams in them slipping . I will now add something that will eliminate that . It's a pin system . The pin system will still allow the cams to adjust but when the centre and the body lines up a degrees it will allow you to insert a pin and prevent the body turning/slipping .

Hopefully the below pics will show you what im going on about .. It will also making timing easier ,

I have programmed the drilling of this already .

CENTRE ( STAINLESS PART)

BODY ( ALLOY PART )

Some finished

So what you will have to do is turn the centre to line up with the hole in the body you will know it is exactly a degree
