Phoned rare rims this morning and spoke to Matt. Ordered my wheels no problem until I got a phone call at about 12 off matt to say they didn't have my colour in stock and it would be 8-10 weeks.
Was very disapointed, but after thinking about it decided to order the rims in steel grey instead.
Can't wait till thursday now, it's just like waiting for crimbo when you were a kid.

Cheers Trig for sorting this group buy although, The missus won't be thanking you.lol

Well mine have just arrived, and they look great! For me, the wheel nuts were in a jiffy inside one of the wheels.

You're welcome guys

Everyone is entitled to the wheel nuts and locks, whether they bought tyres or not. Not sure how they've missed a couple of you out.

Nice to see the wheels balanced with weights inside the wheels, instead of on the rim.

Well that's a bargain - how did you manage it? On their website they are £735, + £125 upgrade to Toyo T1S + £25 wheel nuts + £25 delivery = £910 (with T1Ss instead of T1Rs)

Got my wheels on Monday at 9:30am. Well packaged and the thres had been fitted well too.

They came with new nuts and lockers.

Well impressed with the service and Mike's work in arranging it all.

WMScooby - A bit late with the prices their mate

If you can tell me how to post up pics I'll get some up.

Mine arrived today. I waited in till 2:30 but the little one was getting a bit fed up so we went for a walk to see the ducks. Only for 10 mins. When I got back the delivery van had been. Luckily he had left my alloys behind my gates. Everything there that should be.
Gave them a good waxing then put them safe in the spare bedroom. I'm waxoiling my car on saturday so will have to wait till after before they can be fitted.
Very pleased with the alloys, cheers Adam

It seems we couldn't have got the wheels at that price, and WM just got lucky (assuming he gets the wheels) as the person he ordered from made a mistake. That makes me feel a lot better, as I'd have hated for you all to have paid too much.

I had no idea it took so long to seal these things (or more to the point, buff off the sealant).

Did anyone get chrome dust valve caps?

got the pics up on fotopic but how do you link them to the thread ?

I got chrome dust caps so they stand out a bit, would have really liked metal valves too but not to worry.

Open a browser, and view the pic you want on fotopic. Copy the address from your address line, and then paste it in a reply here, so when we click on it, we'll see the same web page that you're viewing (and hopefully the same picture).

Cheers guys.

Got a bit of a mixed bag of responses on SIDC but all that matters is that I love them. I don't think the pictures do them any justice as I took the pictures straight after putting them on.

Once the car has had a proper clean and polish I'll get some more taken.

Very nice, they look darker than I was expecting for the steel grey. I trust they're nicely sealed.

yep....all coated front and back.....oh and I did get nice chrome valve caps as well....not sure how long they will last though.....the photo was taken in low light so they show a wee bit darker that they are...perhaps this is a better example...

You ought to put a couple of coats of sealant on them, to protect them from brake dust. Brake dust will badly damage alloys, and sealant will offer some protection, and make them a lot easier to clean. It does need applying regularly, but if you want your wheels to stay nice, it's worth it. Have a look at the Car Care section of these forums.

How come these wheels are so expensive now?
When I bought the first set of redlines in 05, they were £500 delivered with toyos. The same was true around christmas lastr year when I ordered some boosts???

Redlines aren't Rotas, they are Inovit, which are heavier wheels. It's £640 for some of the wheels, there just isn't a lot of choice at that price. You can still get some Inovits on ebay quite cheaply.
