JamesF, I can see from above that you're trying to place your order, but to keep this in order, please confirm - 18" Formula Mesh, Silver - no wheels = £400
Confirmed. 18" Formula Mesh in Silver, no tyres. £400 including postage.

Ok then Trig, if you can see what sort of price I'd be for 18" P1s in Bronze for a 2007 STi then that'd be great. A price with/without tyres please.

Cheers,
Grant

Staffi, done. Grant, no prob. James, done.

Note - I assume that all the wheels being ordered have a PCD/offset of 5x100, except Grant's (who's showing off with a nice new car, and 5x114.3 offset.

sjwent, ethanrob, assti, Wmscooby, scoobasteve
Can you confirm if you can go ahead with any of the options.
ethanrob - if you need an offset of 5x114, can you check that they're available on GRAs

sorry matey

im gonna bail on this GB then

The GDA's aint available, the force would be spot on in bronze but not listed in 18",and the formula mesh are only in 5x100 PCD,so no good to me

Anyway cheers matey

Oh,before finalising the GB,speak to the guys at Turriff Tyres - A full range of performance alloys, tyres and exhausts.

I bought my last set of rota's from them with yoko parada, and they cost me £729(18") delivered

regards mark

With a PCD of 5x114.3 it seems the Bronze P1s are your best bet - as Grant wants. They're a fair bit more expensive, so not sure if you're interested, but if you are, I will be asking if they're available with a discount.

Thanks for the other alternative. If it's Rota's we're after, they'll have to come through RareRims (even if via another company), as they're the main uk supplier, but I will keep them in mind if there's a problem.

Cheers

Thanks, I had already tried Turriff - they don't have the supplies to offer a group buy - they have no 17" Rotas at all, and only a couple of sets of 18".

SDRs
RareRims don't have any in stock, group buy or not. I think they were expecting supply in a few weeks, but unless they received a lot of them, they wouldn't be offering a discount on them. In Rotas, the closest alternative that would fit a Subaru, is probably the Boost, or the GRAs (the Boost isn't in the group buy, but looking at the number they have in stock, they probably could be).

Any chance of this group buy happening soon as I'm desperate for my wheels.

Phoned rare rims and they could offer me the 18" Formula Mesh at £450. Obviously the group price is even better but I don't want to hang about for another 4 weeks to save £50 !

Hi James - I'm pretty keen on getting some wheels soon too, but we need a few more people to confirm before we can make the order. I won't be waiting 4 weeks either, hopefully some of those who noted an interest earlier will be able to go ahead. If we can't go ahead within the week, I shall probably give up.

For anyone who's trying to decide between Inovits and Rotas (as I was), it's worth me passing on that the Rotas are a few kg lighter than the Inovits (I think 7.4kg for the 17" GRA Rotas, vs 10kg for the Inovit Tarmacs) and they seem to be better made too (I've been searching threads on other forums for feedback).

Well I'd been back an forth on the phone and via email, so I didn't want to hassle RareRims further, and my plan was to wait until there was 10 of us, and then ask if they could do a couple of sets of P1s with some discount too.

I guess if we have say 8 people on the list, I'll give them a call and ask if they can do P1s as well.

Ok, cheers chaps.

Our list is currently
1. Trig - 17" GRA, Gunmetal polished face, Toyo T1Rs 215/40/17 = £740
2. Mike Molloy - 17" GRA, Steel grey, Toyo T1Rs 215/40/17 = £740
3. PaulC555 18", GRA, Steel Grey = £495
4. JamesF - 18" Formula Mesh, Silver, no tyres = £400
5. sjwent - 17" GRA, Steel grey, Toyo T1Rs 215/40/17 = £740

I'm just on father duties at the minute, but will shortly pass these details on to RareRims - probably best for you to wait 'til the morning before ordering.

RS Grant - waiting for a reply on 5x114s (P1s) from RareRims

RS Grant
Not sure how, but RareRims are doing us a fantastic deal on the Bronze P1s, offet 5x114.3
Although they're £600 online, they will do them now for...
£380 wheels, £760 inc Toyos (+£20/£30 p&p)

It just looks too good to be true, but I just phoned to check - he said they were available with the big discount (unless he meant £££ off - ie £135 off, rather than total being £380).

Anyway Grant, do you want them with or without wheels?

Nice one.

I'm so excited I'm going to buy my wheels with the Toyo's too, don't know what the wife will say mind you !! Maybe get them to fit them with alloy valves for that extra bling if I can

Thanks agian Mike this is one excellent deal , especially considering the length of time Inovit have delayed their shipments by. They will have lost a lot of business I'm sure and rightly so.

Mo'on the Scoobs !

James.

I just can't get over the price of the P1s - I almost wish I didn't have a classic, so I could get those. I really like them with 9 spokes, a little cooler than the 10 spoke GRAs.

Yes they do, and they should be with wheel nuts, as they did on the last group buy (waiting for an email to confirm).

Given that we'll all be wanting the nuts if we can, if you haven't already called to place your order, you may want to wait until mid morning for me to confirm they're included (as they should be), rather than shock RareRims by asking for them on top of the discount.

When you call RareRims, ask for Matt, who has arranged this for us (he usually answers the phone anyway).

Damn fine price though, would be a crazy to say no, thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

Well I've ordered my wheels

And I have confirmed that the P1s are £380 - wow

And, wheel nuts are included, regardless of whether or not you buy tyres

You're welcome James.

Just had an email from RR - on the first 5 list, we've all paid (except Paul, who is away until tomorrow). Also, there was a choice of Silver or Black nuts, and RR has assumed everyone would prefer black. So...

do you?

If you'd prefer silver, you need to let them know. On the gunmetal, I'd have thought black was the only sensible option - on silver, or polished face, I'm not so sure. Any thoughts?

On the Bronze P1s... I'm going to be going for Black Nuts.
