PS3 HD question...
that's matter not to the consumer. MS lose out on their consoles also but they put a headset in and a cable.

Therefore, any pricing is going to be a US Dollar to Euro/GBP echange. You don't use todays rate, you use a historical average - for obvious reasons. Which works out at around $1.70 to the pound. If the pound were to go to 1990 levels of $1.45 to the pound, we would be paying "less" than the states.
MS SOny and Nintendo all use the same system these days. It is aprox $1.70 =£1 plus VAT @17.5% (most States in the US are betwen 5 and 8% sales tax, and all prices quoted do not include this tax).
Just be thankful its not the old pounds for dollars system
Moving them around in the states costs a lot less because of the price of petrol alone
and shipping them from China in boats is a tad cheaper as well.$599 @ ($1.88 to £1) = £318 * 1.175 = £374 + everything to get them into the shops costs more and our shops demand bigger margins...not a big difference I would guess ?
Cheers
Dan
I know a guy who bought one in Dubai.
No cable.
I bought a "PS3 bundle" and got the HD cable in the deal.
I only know one person who bought an xbox core system.
don't know what all the fuss is about really.
Whichever console you pray to, somebody, somewhere is having a laugh.
Even the Wii if you make the mistake of buying Tiger Woods golf
