Hmmmmmmmm........nice spec!!
Now.......do I spend £20K on an 06 Sti, or do I spend £10K on a P1/Type R and then chuck £10K at RCM to fettle it a bit???
Oh, so tempting, but will the bank manager share my enthusiasm??
Damn!!! Just thought of another option......£14K on an 04 Sti and £6K to fettle it!!

Here is a short vid taken this morning in between the rain showers, sorry about it being jerky but it was done using my photo camera. Didn't rev it above 7000 rpm as there's still only 1400 miles on the engine. Also was rolling before I opened it up. This is the first time the car has been opened up in 1st-4th gears.

Note to self, dont put mouse over smilies on the side of that video, they talk and it scares me

Ive just worked out that mine has cost me £10k and thats all DIY apart from the actual build of the engine block, thats also using expensive APS parts including Turbo, FMIC, exhaust, so if you DIY you get to where ive got for a lot less.

I have a lot of lighter parts on the engine which all helps to rev quicker.
The crank is 2.5 kilos lighter than standard.
Cam pullys are 2 kilos lighter
Not sure about o. s giken flywheel weight ?
Carbon prop has to be 5 -10 kilos lighter

400 bhp does make a good road car,550bhp is fun but you have to think before you can give it some, you have to make sure the road is straight and clear ,oh and dry

2.1 bar is very nice
really kicks hard in 4th and 5th gear ,you can feel a slight bit of wheel spin in 4th and 5th when the boost first kicks in ,on the front wheels.
