Paul, do you know how the weight of the Stoptech kits compare to the OEM cast 4pots and solid 294mm rotors..?

Having looked at the tech spec on the Stoptech site they look mightily impressive, with plenty of R&D..! The 330x32mm rotors (exc. ally bells) weight 15lbs/6.8 kgs, but I'm not sure of the weight of the oem discs..? Nore can I see a caliper weight.

Just interested as I'm quite '****' about upsprung weight..!

Not sure, but at a guess, the Stoptech calipers are about half the weight of the Steel 4 pots.

i highly recommend the AP, had a set of these 4 pot road/race AP, 330ml discs, red dot pads with dot 5 fluid and the braking was very very high quality, the only problem i found with the AP is the both inner pistons seemed to seize once in a while but nothing major.
I was in the middle of refurb inc new seals.

Cool

Cookstar: As far as I'm aware and I'm sure Paul will confirm, but std colours are red, black or silver.

With regards starting another GB, it's OK by me for a Stoptech buy to go ahead on this thread, after all I 99.9% sure I'm going for them, if we get the numbers..

Ray T: Apparently these calipers use a Porsche 'pattern' pad, which means there's plenty of choice and therefore prices should be reasonable..

Take a look here for some impressive stats: StopTech : Balanced Brake Upgrades

I'm just waiting for confirmation of delivery cost from Paul (I'll more than likely collect) and then as far as I'm concerned people can start putting their names down..

If anyone thinks that it would be better to start a new (Stoptech specific) GB then please say so as I'm happy to do it..
