Cool Stoptech big brake kits

Following a lot of interest in this kit on another GB thread I've started a Stoptech specific GB.

Basically we've been offered Stoptech's 4 pot 328x28 mm big brake kit (newage & classic front) inc s/s hoses and axis pads from Paul at Zen Performance for £1200 inc vat for 5 kits or more..

On the other GB there were at least 5 people interested so we should have the numbers already..

For those of you who've not heard of Stoptech before take a look here:

Zen Performance - Braking

and for highly impressive techie stuff here:

StopTech : Balanced Brake Upgrades

A few points taken from the above site:

These are supposed to be one of the stiffest calipers on the market, even surpassing AP..!
Tested for car specific applications, so no problems with brake balance or ABS (most other makes use a 'one size fits all' approach using custom brackets).
They use a 'Porsche' pattern pad, so plenty of choice from most manufacturers, which should mean reasonable replacement costs..
Fully rebuild-able with a full range of spares (available via Zen).

Finally and probably the most impressive point IMO is that these are what Paul uses on his 700hp scoob (remember how good his times usually are on the handling section at TOTB..!)

So roll up and start putting your names down with caliper colour pref. (silver, black or red)..

Will confirm, but iirc should not be a problem..

Alternatively, you could take a look at the Performance Friction group buy thread..

The £1200 price is for the 328x28 kit. The 330 x 32 kit (aimed at the newage sti) is an extra £60. I don't have a price for the 355 kit as yet, but I will update the group buy with prices for the rear lines, fluid, fitting and pad options.

Hi Paul,
I am showing my interest in this group buy, and i'll need to have a chat with you (early next week), as the car is due a service so may be able to link that with a "fitting price" for kit etc, have P1 17 alloys on MY00 classic, so also need to check which kit would be best fit etc.

best regards Ray t

Not sure at the moment. I think I would like to keep it open for a month or so, as a number of people that expressed an interest would like to gather funds for it.

Yes they will fit a version 6, and yes they do a rear kit too. You can buy a 4 wheel kit to cover both ends, I'll sort the pricing on those when i get the info for the 355 kits.

well, depending on a deal I was discussing today regarding my engine problems, I may still be in a position to go ahead. Will just have to keep an eye on this thread closer to the time.

What is the non-group buy of the kits please (fitted)

Default 355mm Kits

News on 355mm StopTech Big Brake Kits.

Retail price will be £1320 +vat = £1551 inc.

Groupbuy price will be £1191.49 +vat = £1400 inc.

The best way to find out if this kit will fit on your car, is to download the wheel fitment template:
http://www.zenperformance.co.uk/cms_...ents/ST355.pdf

And then follow the instructions here:
StopTech : Balanced Brake Upgrades

The same can be done for the other sizes of kit, please see this page of our website:
Zen Performance - Braking

Cheers
