one of the reasons the turbo blanket will cut down the heat in the engine bay which inturn will stop some of the heat soak to the top mount intercooler and also heat soak to the front mount intercooler pipe that runs above the turbo

The idea is to keep the hot parts hot and the cool parts cool, and to reduce the amount of heat the hot parts radiate.

By wrapping the turbo (exhaust side)it keeps the heat in and helps prevent it from radiating as much. Same as wrapping the exhaust.

The induction side is similar, by wrapping it to keep it cool and stop it absorbing heat from the surrounding hot engine/exhaust/ and turbo.

For anyone who's unsure of which turbo bag/blanket to have, here's an email from supplier:

"The stealth bag is a universal fitment 9”x19” which you adapt to fit.

The T3 bag is a specifically designed bag to fit the garret T3 turbos.

Hope this helps

Regards
John Glover"

I'm therefore ordering a stealth bag for my VF35..

Default Order placed

Just spoke to John. Very friendly and helpful.

Ordered my turbo blanket and as jasonius says they are universal fitment 9"x19".

FYI mine will be going on a VF turbo (not sure if its a VF28, 29 or 30 ), but hopefully that info maybe of help/comfort to others

Having jumped into this without thinking too hard about it I just hope my modified mota doesnt catch fire now?! Running about 1.25/1.30bar of boost and getting ~310bhp. Pretty sure thats not going to get the VF max'd out and white hot

Thanks for organising KIPS.

Im interested in the turbo kit (with DP wrap) some extra wrpa for the headers and also some of the silver wrap to go around the intercooler pipework.

I can't seem to find a price for any of this here, can you let me know what the price is for this and if reasonable will pay asap.
thanks
