I have a 530d at the moment, and it doesn't disappoint.
Enough grunt (193bhp), super smooth engine, deceptively fast, excellent handling and ride, with built quality to match.
You should be able to get a sport verion for around £12k with leather satnav and rest of the toys. Solid cars, really recommend them.

120d seems interesting now.
177bhp 0-60 in 7.5s and best of all 57mpg. Although I suspect if you keep hitting th 0-60 figure then the mpg might not be that high
I'm seriously considering one now. Faster than my current car, better mpg, loads more torque, better spec, can even get 3 years serving for £385.
I just don't have the 16k required to buy one!!!!
