still in own little normal world i am afraid, not getting into this daft one, see the posts are off with the death talk again, quite right i might be an arrogant ****, but thats my decision that affects noone! my choice to move over to the curb and park if i have to, no one needs to make avasive action for that bit if driving, christ, theres some real ****ed up driving about this city and your all worried about me overtaking a line a cars thats stood still going no where thinking i might hit an atom bomb doing 300mph coming the other way!
you all really should go drive up that road at 5pm and see what its all about! i cant belive how this is carrying on so long, go buy a crossword or something to pass the time and chill out

looked at the overview map myself also, could even pull into the cycle bit at the top if needed, by that point you can see right over the lights very well and nip off the curb i would have had to use to avoid the 300mph atom bomb.

but thats my decision that affects noone!
ofcourse driving like an arrogant **** affects people. if someone came the other way next time you pull your clown act on and drive (and openly admit it) like a ****, and they have to take usually un-necessary action to avoid you... then erm... yes. err.... duh... you are affecting others.

You lived in the US?

They would have taken your driver's away and locked your sorry **** up for doing something like that, if they did not chase you down and ram you off the road before!

It is unbeleivable that i have joined this forum and instantly find an argument about someone i know but it is a small world for sure!!
I know this guy Blueblobeyes personally and i have been in the car with him many times, sure he drives like a dick and thinks he owns the road but i would rather get in a car with him than my mother as he is safer.
I have been a professional driver for 8 years driving 7.5ton trucks and i ride a Super sports bike at the weekend so no one can tell me that i am not a good judge of a driver!
You need to have foresight to recognise an opportunity, some people have it and some dont and i know for sure that Fatty Thomas will have had one.
I remember going down the snake pass with him in a Vectra SRI and i swear that no one in a WRX would have kept up with him and i was impressed to say the least . Then we came up on some temp traffic lights and he started to sail past the waiting traffic much like he did on the day this thread was made! As we came to the lights and seemed to have nowhere to go they changed to green and we went straight to the front of the queue and on through the lights!
I said you mad B*****d how did you know they were goin to change and he said "Cos the traffic has stopped comin the other way!!"
Made complete sense to me after that.
Without being funny if you dont want to be labeled a hooligan then dont buy a Scooby, they are fast cars so they are antisocial in the public eyes as are bikes!
Il go in the car with you anytime FT you know who i am!!!!!!

erm - actually yes it does make you a ****. It is illegal and dangerous. I am glad you think you are arrogant, i think youhit the nail on the head. Just because you are a selfish self centred **** who likes to **** other drivers off whilst carrying out dangerous and illegal moves should not mean that we should criticise you - good golly NO. You carry on doing it mate, just make sure that it is only you that dies or gets injured and no-one else. Come down here to the fens and drive like that, lovely big soft and wet parking areas for you to get out of other peoples way when you realise what an **** you are and need to pretend that you were not in the wrong really - oh better bring an aqualung too they are around 40 foot deep.

Unfortunately your kind of driving means that these other drivers think all Scoob drivers are like you and make it harder on the rest of us.

There is nothing wrong with courtesy on the road and waiting your turn. Think if all those peeps in that queue thought and acted like you, bet you would get home even later.

I for many years thought my boss was the most arrogant, ignorant, self centred person that was every created to walk gods earth.
On reading this thread, my opinion has changed.
I also spend most of my working day on the roads, if anyone i know drove with the same attitide and contempt for other road users i'd be wanting to throw their car keys down the nearest drain not get in the passenger seat with them. The driving style and attitude here has hit a real nerve with me as it's everything that i dispise in when i see it happen on roads, and ignorant and arrogant people i have no time for...ever whatever the situation.
Being an alledged great driver has nothing whatsoever to do with the stupid stunts pulled during mr blobeyes general driving. Driving greats Mcrae, Senna, Mansell, Schmacher, Prost, Moss the list goes on. Yeah i'm sure they all went sailing past every queue at every set of traffic lights the come across, just because they consider themslves better than everyone else patiently waiting.

That's hillarious So driving a truck and a splendid sports bike at weekends makes you a good judge of a driver Who needs class 1 drivers, the IAM or the Highway Code, when we have the Sheffield massive!
No wonder you know each other so well! Dumb and Dumber Lick that frost baby!

I'm not going to be judgemental about what happened on that day, but if i can add a little thought to any future excursions which are illegal in the eyes of the law and that is to think about not only what space can you nip into, what traffic is approaching, what speed you were doing or what pedestrians are lurking about, but think about what the other drivers in that queue of traffic were thinking or doing.

You have stated other drivers on that road wind you up and so you did what you did. Fair enough. Your risk.
The thing is, other drivers in that queue may have the same mentality and are frustrated waiting. Who's to say they won't think "bugger this i'll go another way" and pull out to do a "U" turn in front of you? or even do the same as you but have been lulled into a false sense of security by past experience and pull out in front of you cause nobody ever tries to jump the queue in their experience over the years?

As part of the IAM test, you're taught to look at all potential hazards and those include what other drivers are doing and can do. People are unpredictable..
You may have been thinking about or watching other drivers in that queue and were aware of them but worth making people think since it hadn't been mentioned.

Maybe it's not the fact that they are fast, just that when you get someone driving like a complete tosser and he happens to be in a Subaru people then start judging the rest of us as antisocial

not sure how you think I must be from SIDC??? do they all drive like **** on there or just me??? but I do post on there

as for me over taking and been more important than others, well only one part of that is true, I do those traffic lights a few times a day and people are so god dam uselss and make no progress it drives me insane!!! if other people would drive more constructivly then I would not go racing round people, but until they do feel free to call me a dick, I would like to say though that I only did it at the last few secs before the lights go red when I can see that noone coming the other way is in sight or even close and so would not have to move out the way for me at all!!!!!!!!

also they deley timer on those lights is great, I nipped thru, turned right up the hill and am settleing in behind traffic before the other lights even changed!! so got in no ones way, caused no one to move,, and got home in time for simpsons :-)

as for typical Impreza driver, sorry but thats just something you guys have to live with, get over it, I drive the same in any car.
Not a very good excuse really, TBH in pretty much every situation where i've come into contact with people who cause reactions in others drivers, they have pretty 100% much been crap behind the wheel. with your responce I'd be suprised if your not the same. But let me guess you think your a good driver and think your genuinly quick and skillfull too probably a hero in the 30-40mph zones... I'v met many a person with your attitude at the track... they have all been ****e at driving

You need to have foresight to recognise an opportunity, some people have it and some dont and i know for sure that Fatty Thomas will have had one.
I remember going down the snake pass with him in a Vectra SRI and i swear that no one in a WRX would have kept up with him and i was impressed to say the least .
