CONGRATULATIONS!!!! to Kathryn & Dannybmoy for making blueblobeye aware in the manner in which he drives his scooby. He now no's what all the people are thinking when he makes these particular moves on our highways ,there not big nor clever i can only think that he is one of the younger drivers. And this thread might make him think before he makes moves thike that again.HOPEFULLY!! I was a young driver a few years ago, in the days of the 205GTI'S,astra16v,RS turbo's to name but a few before speed camera's and traffic calming. And i now hope a few words of wisdom from someone who's been their. Blueblobeye please slow down m8 we dont want to be posting about your's or a member of the publics death on scoobynet in the future. IT'S BETTER TO BE LATE IN THS WORLD,THAN EARLY IN THE NEXT ONE.

hands up to ya m8 for owning up
i have read 60-70% of this thread and i suppose most comments have merit
YES WE ARE ALL guilty of at least one stupid manouver in our driving careers ME included, BUT and this is a big BUT driving a powerful car esp a scoob, evo etc attracts attension and gives the car 'a bad name' theres no getting away from it.
since ive owned a scoob i must admit i do make more of an effort to stick to the speed limits in 30, 40mph zones, if plod spots 2 cars doin 35 in a 30 you know who will be stopped!
just promise to be more carefull in the future
now come on guys an gals GIVE THE GUY A BREAK!

People laugh at this forum and do nothing but slag it off!.....Every forum that I've been on that has had a bit of an argument between a few members, just end up saying "C'mon...this isn't scoobynet, where everyone just flames everyone and starts arguments for whatever reason...!" etc etc.

Interesting thread...
Having been a member on here for years (though i don't post) I felt compelled to add my 2 pence worth. So here goes.... though i couldn't read though all posts....
The accused "***" did sound like he strayed over the line(no pun intended). It doesn't matter what car you're in, we all have the capability to drive poorly and with disregard for other peoples safety. However, I'm sure as scooby owners we all like the power, speed and responsiveness of our machines. As such I'm sure that we all like to explore these facets. On the road or track. so I'm not going to get into the "time and place argument" which i support though.
What got me was this guys attitude. He seems like the world (or road) owes him.
I can honestly say as a 21 year old i had (still have) a 20 year old car putting out over 500 bhp on the street. And i did silly things and scared myself sh*tless. But I learned, felt regret when I was stupid, and relieved when I'd "got" away with something. Very relieved. Thing that bothers me is that this guy pulled a stunt and didn't realise he was lucky to get away with it. A good driver always evaluates his experiences.. and by experiences i mean when you push your skill or you car. if your lucky and feel glad that you got away with it. Theres no answer to racing on the street or motorway, just be careful...
Though one for ***... having lived and raced in L.A in the 90's..... you only turn right on a red.... not left... (on the street of course)

Ignored this for a few days now, but still gets me when people say i am lucky to get away with it withour crashing! I was lucky to get away with nothing that day, I have been very lucky to get away with other manuvers in the past I have donw I freely admit cos some have been very close to the wire and I leaned from them, this is just still a case of been a dick to other traffic, not street racing as people seem to think it is. I really cant stress enough that this was not a mad all out wheels spinning manuver, just me been cheeky in perfect safty that if a car had come the other way iI would have hed to move out the way quite safly and in plenty of time, would not even have come close to even thinking about the possibility of hitting another car or person walking.

God I've just wasted 5 mins of my life reading this drivel. And you came up with a map?? :-) How much effort - Tell me this is all a wind-up? NOBODY can comment apart from those at the scene - fact! Always consider anothers perspective or drivers viewpoint. As a motorcyclists, many times car drivers think you're being an **** when you have perfect visability and control of the situation.

As for blobeyed blah blah blah.
I've read through your spouted shi*e. Judging by the map there was no way you could have seen what was coming. The fact you've said that if there was a driver coming the other way there would have been plenty of time for them to move out of the way clearly makes you guilty of driving like a complete arrogant tit.
The fact is you should never be the cause of anyone taking evasive action because of the way you are driving.
Crash into me in Sheffield driving like that and I will quite happily kick you down the road which you have just driven down. You'll be lucky to get home at all never mind in time for the Simpsons

Great topic, had a good old laugh for the first two pages then got bored. Has he actually admitted to driving dangerously then or is he still in his own little world?
