sara,
that just plain sucks
only just seen this thread, I have a couple of scrapes on mine where people have just driven off. Hate the way people either dont own up or have no respect for property.
As a few others have mentioned, if its down to the metal you need to get it sorted, either by your bodyshop or little knocks, as they are not too far away from you.
must be a real PITA especially after just having the respray..
chin up hun

Someone keyed my B-M about 4 months ago. They did the wing and both doors. Went into a shop (group of kids outside), walked in, got what I needed and came out 60 seconds later to find damage.
Went and had a look for the little ***** but no sign. Cost me £600.

I really do feel for you sara. Its really does wind me up when this happens. It just goes to fuel my paranoia even more.
I remember a while back now when i had a courtesy car as i parked up in kings car park, still sitting in the car when the owner of a car parked next to mine (a woman) swings open her car door into mine. She didn't even blink.... As i got out the car to inspect damage she speedily drove off. Luckily it hit the plastic bit in the door.
I’m at a stage now when I’m considering selling my baby (the car) because I’m always prang about taking it anywhere. Considering maybe a bmw 7 series or audi a8 as they are very nice cars but don’t stand out as much as the scoob..... but then when i sit in my car again i always manage to convince myself to keep the car and change my mind.
A good place id recommend is chips away for the repair.

ive been onto the garage and they have kept some paint back, apparently they knew i would be back for repair jobs
i dont know when the police will contact me, i spose its not important enough for them.
when i spoke to the Harlequin Shopping center security in Watford they told me that it is very rare for a car to get damaged in their car park......whatever
thanks for all your comments

Sad thing is, it's probably not a youth, but a small minded individual who thinks because your car is what it is (ahem, "bright" ) that it has no right to be in a disabled (cough, sorry OAP bay - well that what most of them think ). Badge or no badge.
I've had some right arguments with idiots who don't comprehend that the driver is not the badge holder, but the passenger can be as well. And some old duffers think its a old persons parking pass; because your not old it doesn't mean your the only person who can have one. In my local town I hazard some of the old duffers who do have badges actually are more fit and able than some truely deserving applicants....but because they are old, they "deserve" a pass.
Put pressure on the police to get the CCTV footage, state it at as malicious vandelism. The car has just had £x000 spent on it after having a full respray. You deserve to find out who has intentionally put your bodywork back to square one.

Sorry about your car Sara - gutted for you but not surprised......I had only had my WRX for about 2 months before it got damaged - was outside my house as well, heard a bit of a bang thought nothing of it, came outside about 10 minutes later and noticed a dent in the front of my bonnet; too high to have been anything but mindless f**kwits "having a laugh innit".
Thing is though, realistically what can you do, makes me so mad - if you dish a slapping, you get the police or brick through the window etc, and yet it makes you sick to the pit of your stomach "putting-up" with it.
Why is it that in the "old" days my grandparents used to talk about that kids had more respect even though generally people were much, much worst off ? My opinion is that its the parents of these type of kids.
Anyway as I said, sorry to hear about this, but I see there are some people who advised to get it sorted and move; in agreement with that, don't let the f**kers win
