Have to say it's a sad fact of the times. My fabia generally gets kept out of harms reach, but my "runabout" gets keyed all the time at first I'd t-cut them out but now I just dont bother, it's gone from being worth £800 to if I'm lucky £200 due to the amount of damage it's had.

I've seen the kids do it but to be honest I wont have a go at them in fear of having the house windows put in.

No point telling the police either

Gutted for you Sara.

Total lack of respect for other peoples property.

This is the reason I hate leaving my car......anywhere. Sad really.

Such is life nowadays. A sad reflection of modern society, when your possessions are regarded with such derision that someone delibrately causes such damage. Makes you wonder if it's worth the hassle.

Might not be kids had mine done by a 63 year old man.
People nextdoor seen him he did over 200k worth of damage over 3 years.
He was doing it late at night when out walking his dog.

Lets just say all his paint just fell off his 06 sabb and is now on his driveway

Sara, I really feel for you. There are so many nasty and vindictive people out there. But its a harsh fact of life that we have to deal with unfortunately.
As Cookie said, we shouldn`t give in to these kind of people, if we do they have won Many members of Snet that describe a car as a piece of metal that can be repaired, to you and many others this is not the case.
I hope you get this matter resumed amicably.

It is very disheartening when this kind of thing happens, I had a unsuccesful twoccing attempt on my car not so long back. The net result of this was some nasty gouges and scratches around the driver's door handle. It does **** you off big style and makes you wish you had something less likley to attract attention. However as you say giving in to this mindless scum is not really an option.

Gits!

I feel some vigilante action is in order. I'm sure its allowed in USofA

Park up a car as bait and wait nearby, and batter (flour and milk i believe) the living **** out of any scum who try to steal/damage the car.

feel bad for you, it makes you think, no point in a respray, cos it may happen again

People who have nice cars don't behave like that.
People who do behave like that have nothing.
You're still the winner !

I can see the attraction of wild graphics sometimes, easy repair?

Red face

They'll get what is coming to them SS.

Gutted for you but it looks like a pretty simple fix - get it done to stop the rust kicking in if they've got down to metal. no more that £100 - £200 I'd hope.

Whatever it costs you - multiply that figure by how many times you AREN'T going to shop at the same shopping centre over the next 12 months and write an open letter to all the shops near the area telling them that they need to improve security etc - until then you'll take your £££ elsewhere. I'll do the same - will anyone else support the cause? It could be you next !!!

So sorry to hear that some w@nker did this to you new paint work. It was looking so nice in your pics a few weeks ago. I hope it was a youth cause like they say "What goes around, Comes around" One day they will grow up and buy a car that they love and some young idiot will do the same to there car and then they will know just how your feeling right now.
