been a few scams recently on various motor foruums. This guy told me he was in newcastle. I asked for the engine to which he agreed and said he didnt take paypal as he would get stung (after reading some of the scams paypal is hardly ever used) I asked for an address so I could arrange collection and cash on delivery but he seems to have disappeared since not answering emails etc

He has only got 14 posts

 

Anybody received anything off this chap yet? How did you pay him craigeloon if not paypal?

 

i got him today on his house phone number...

he said his computer has been broken... il give him the benefit of the doubt. I have his house number also and he has his own business so it seems ok. But he did sound surprised when i called... Anyone want his numbers PM me

 

I've got his email address if anyone wants it. Still waiting on a headlight.

I got an email from him yesterday on his home email address which is strange if his PC is broken....

 

He assured me he has sent the items on a 3 day service with home delivery network. He cant get the tracking number as it was done all online... Im sure the driver would have handed over a receipt. Twisty... have you paid him for the bits..

The other sites that got scammed, in the main the guy concerned supposedly came from the Northants area. That's not to say it's not the same guy.

Although, it isn't the norm that a scammer will give out their real address and a contactable landline number...ie so they can be traced.

 

was it a 0191 newcastle code?

 

Did nobody read the thread on the recent "scams" in the other sections of the forums ?
