i understand that ed, i did try and push him for even something on the smaller wheels but he said there is nothing in it for him. even asked if the tyres were removed could he do anything... said he removes and refits with balancing FOC so wont budge. He did say that he thinks he is very cheap tho.... i dont really know tho. anyone know anywhere else i could ask for a price???

PPPRob- i did say there will be approx 5 + sets to do and he said thats the best price he could do.

John1uk i will be asking about having the split rims on lin's car refurb'd which also have a polished lip so if there is anything to shout about will let you know.....

Just spoke to John, nice fella, said he won't do polished i.e. diamond cut rims as the end finish doesn't last.

He offers a 12 months warranty in the price you've been given as well and thats why he won't do the diamond cutting.

Bit of a shame really as thats what I fancied but good on him for saying that up front

FWIW 19s are 200 quid a set which is still a superb price IMHO

Steve, I do appreciate you trying and I know I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
I'll hold back and wait to see what peoples experiences are with him first

Ed, I have had 2 sets done by John, and would not hesitate to use again. Indeed I will be taking another set to him very soon.
£150, to remove the tyres, beadblast, powder coat and Re-fit the tyres and balance, I think that is a bl##dy good price.

Here are some pics of the the last set, these where Gloss black, with a clear flake coat.
