So what do we think ... RB320?

I love the look of the RB320. Up until now I thought that all Scoobs had to be rally blue with gold wheels, but wow what a sexy car the RB is. I'd definately buy one if I could afford it, and afford the loss of VAT as soon as you drive it away from the showroom. I know other folk are saying for that money they'd buy a Porsche or something, but to honest I'd choose this. My brother just bought the Porsche Caymen, and whilst this is obviously a superior car in most ways, it just can't compare to the driving experience of the Scoob. I felt the same way about the M3.
For some reason I would never buy an import either, so the spec c would be out of the question for me. Plus, i just think the RB looks the Dogs Danglies

Who knows?? OFF THREAD
Back to the RB320-when I first saw it I thought it was the "best" looking scoob so far,I do like black cars(apart from having to clean them) and its a good change from teh old blue n gold which is starting to look VERY dated.

Re: my spec c comment. What is so special ... tell me. I have driven one and gone head to head with one when my WR1 was standard. The wr1 looked better, was faster and generally was a better car. Furthermore when I broke the WR1 it was fixed without question by Subaru ... not a tuning shop who offer warranties. As I mentioned I want a UK based brand new car with a UK Subaru authorised warranty.
Whenever I meet someone who owns a spec c they are up themselves and full of the car being the best car ever to grace the planet. Take the ESC for example. somebody there has even plastered their car with massive Spec C stickers just to ram home the point that he drives one. BORING!!
My reasons are as per above. I have driven one, raced against one and spent a day running one. All of which turned me off of wanting one. That's not to mention the lack of warranty, residual value etc etc etc.

All scoobs are nice motors
rb320 nice motor .....but it should, could have been better
It looks like a normal black scoob at first glance, when in all
reality it should have been the same colour as the rb5, or at least
a colour that stands out from the rest.....like 23g

Yes! I don't think the Spec-C is as amazing as everyone bangs on about it being ... have driven one, raced against one in the WR1 and on these occasions (more than one) I left knowing that I had made the right choice in buying the WR1.
The WR1 was sensational in everyway. I sold it because I had to, and because my business needs demanded a car less extreme and less in your face.
The WRX SL that I bought is an awesome little car. The leather combined with all the toys and sleek looks means I can get away taking clients out in it, yet still get the speed, handling and track abilities that I want in a car.
The RB320 is on the cards, I have been offered one and have the cash to buy one however am just weighing up my options ... hence this thread.

Seems to be slightly telling that The New Subaru as usual has to be justified and talked up with its easily remedied short falls glossed over so we can all breathe a sigh of relief that Subaru's are still the one to have.
Don't misunderstand me its a fine looking bit of kit and no doubt a highly capable road car but for repeated track use as the prospective owner suggests?
If it has to be 4wd the new evo MR 360 would have to be it.... albeit slightly over budget. I would and prob will purchase a one year old with two years warranty left.
Dare I say it in dark grey also slightly more grown up? (The new MR version looks considerably better than the standard 360.)

Just do it matey ,
Your never gonna make money .If you keep the Sl or buy an RB320 either way your gonna lose money - in 3 years an RB320 is lookin at least 20k(as per WR1) In 3 years your SL is gonna be 4 yr 'ish old so worth maybe 10k or so!! So over the next 3 years depereciation is likely to be the same - Just buy the car - and I wanna spin in it
Oh and "Terminator X" - Small nobbed **** (still)

Well been to dealers to look at RB320.
Car looks great with the Leather and suede seats loke it should come with. I cant believe that they are an option.
The Orange on black looks good.
£29995 plus option????
Over priced I think. Would just get a Black STI, ow forgot......
