Don't know why you always do the same thing?
You hang around a scoobynet, with the littlest of knowledge, trying to educate people, then post it on here when someone replies with something anti-cossie.
You end up making yourself look like an idiot, whether you're right or wrong, and an embarassment. What are you trying to achieve?

If you trawl the internet long enough, i'm sure you'll get somebody to agree with you. ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
And who ever said that you don't know what you're talking about?

What you need to remember is that ALS will NOT improve the boost threshold of a turbo (as in the point that the turbo comes on boost), they will only improve the lag aspect (which is just the response of the turbo once it is IN it's boost threshold), by keeping it spinning between gear-changes.
ALS is actually ILLEGAL to use on the road, as it contravenes the decibel limits of a road car. Although fitted to rally cars, just like if these speed between stages on public roads they would get collared for running ALS on the road as well, hence the switch.
ALS will create temps of up to 1000°C, hence why turbos don't last. The rally cars run turbos that cost several thousand pound each made out of special material that can sustain this kind of heat (a standard turbo would fall apart at 950°C).
I run a Maram 247 shafted T4 turbo and ALS on my Escort, but it is only really used on track (and can only be used on track-days with no noise limits).
Hope this helps.

It's great that you have a passion for cars, but don't ruin it by saying 'you know more than others'.
How many times have I heard a teenager say that?
![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Come to think of it, I used to know everything............then I grew up!

So the man to listen to, is the one that agrees with you? Come on mate, you're digging yourself a pretty big hole. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Well Mike Rainbird on here, also has first hand experience of ALS. And he seems to think it isn't worth using it on the road. Pretty much what I have been saying all along. Swings and roundabouts mate!

You're officially retarded. I never said anything to the tune of you not knowing anything, so don't put my name against your made up crap.
I merely pointed out your severe lack of experience - something it seems I didn't need to do.

Jesus where is this Thread going. I have it on a road car and yes i use it now and then for a laugh. No harm done yet and its been fitted a Year now. It has melted some of the heat proof stuff on my Turbo Heat shield, that caused a little smoke once, but thats the only harm done. If used constantly then yes i guess it would get expensive.
