One thing to try is a global ignition pull, say 3 degrees then see how the knock goes. Can't quite remember how to do it, but what I do know is that you have to do it every time you fire the car up! PITA but it could save the engine until you get it remapped.

good call..

SETTINGS --> IGN/INJ press down arrow with IGN highlighted and it will display -3 rather than 0.. it is as Jay says only a temp change and will reset when you cycle the ignition.

I dont really fancy messing with settings....whats the chances of buggering every thing up if i do something wrong?

With the ignition retard its pretty easy (even for a retard )

If you see a big table you're in the wrong bit!
