Never had a problem with the clinic, both on general work and on an issue that drove me mad for 6 months before I took it to the clinic, only after I had changed half the front suspension and drive train. Kev identified it and the issue was sorted out. I would never have guessed the source of the problem.

Whilst we are all very busy, as customers attending the clinic or any other service provider we habitually have time to chat, the majority of this may be due to the nervous situation caused by someone fiddling with your pride and joy (so to speak) however the clinic does find common ground between making sure customers are looked after and actually getting the job done.
Some clients are high maintenance and some can be looked after with minimal levels of engagement.
Advise and plenty of it is greatly appreciated, but if you want to be waffled at whilst the piped music drones in the background and wading through knee deep carpets go to a dealer.
If you want the job doing with minimal fuss and at a realistic price you know where to go.

This is of course my own personal view and is borne from personal experiences.

I personally read these threads with great Interest,, as partner of scoobyteknix (trading for 15 months) in lancashire,,, I am so interested in learning how we can improve our services to make us as succesful as Scoobyclinic,,

the reputation of these guys is second to none and i have so much respect for them,,,

These threads also prove that no matter how many satisfied customers you have you can not please everybody,, also this thread will not harm Adam or kevs reputation it just gives some free publicity!

Keep up the good work lads,, and what ever you do please dont expand to the Blackpool area!!!

scoobyclinic did a full geometry set-up on my03 sti, yes i had to wait a bit but who cares when you can watch a team of experts at work. i found the staff to be friendly, knowledgable and most of all they couldn,t do enough for you. even the dog was friendly. it was an enjoyable experience all round. best of all the scoob now handles like a dream.

If its me your referring to 'the some time later' comment was said when I went to fit the uprated kit and was done then as I had the money to pay for it then. In fact I actually bought all my kit from scoobyclinic but decided to give the business to TSL. And for the record this is all my account never has anyone at TSL belittled anyone else to me they asked me if I had had an alignment done before them and I mentioned I had but it was a waste of £120. The salesman at the branch I bought the car from had said that 2 of the 6 alloys that came with the car had been removed as they had been kerbed I still have them as im hoping to get them fixed for spares but they are split rims, this is the argument I took up with the MD at Triangle Subaru but the said salesman had left hence they cant prove I cant prove. So the dmage was actually done before I owned it and as it is my first scooby I didnt know how they drove just it was killing my tyres hence the checks started.
I now know the difference and my tyres havent suffered since the alignment was done

Thumbs up

On one particular Sunday afternoon a group of us were sight seeing around Matlock when one car encounted a problem, so we decided to head off home and as we were passing the clinic the chap in question decided to drop his car off at the clinic and let the guys look at it on Monday, well on arriving at the clinic we found Kev beavering away on his own car, to cut it short Kev was more than happy to stop working on his own car in HIS sparetime and sort out our little problem.
Now how many garage owners do you know that will happily work on your car on a sunday in their own time ?

THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR YOU

Ive had my scoob now nearly 3 1/2yrs and its never gone anywhere else, why, cos i wouldn't trust anyone else with it, SC have built my car mantained my car and fettled as and when needed and yes i been up there early in the morning and had to wait, but hey who cares, there are always other people up there to chat too and you can even annoy some of the mechanics

Mine goes there in the morning, I can't wait! Hopefully I'll be able to get the decat fitted as well. I hadn't mentioned it on the phone but I don't mind waiting around if I have to.

My two penneth The Clinic are

THE FOOKIN DOGS NADS

Yes you wait and yes you could go to some dealership and sit in nice warm fung shi waiting rooms, looking at old copys of autocar and what stuff may void your warrinty ,

Now consider this how many place's like your local dealership let you wander about and let you talk to mechanics stand in a goodie room with more defis than you could find holes to put them...

The next thing ADAM yes he's funny lookin and yes he has a nicer car than me and yes i want his life "I HATE YOU

But one thing he is never too busy to talk to you however **** you want to be or if you just wanna poke fun at things people or place's, I agree with one thing scousefly Yes you can arrive and adam walks past you so you say Adam can i have a word. Picture the last time you did this was he stood still or walkin to the job then the next one and the next one. My point is this :

HE'S A BUSY MAN

But he will always have time to speak to you

BIG RESPECT Adam

And as far as Kev goes he will bend over backwards to help you My car was desperate for an exhaust but payday was four days away yet i came away with a magnex five incher in my hands ... four days later i was back down at the clinic to pay what i owed with a huge smile on my face and my ears that little bit more worn out from the extra noise... Thank you kev when i look to get a new car the first place i will look is

Thats :- Scooby Clinic | The UK's Largest Independent Subaru Specialists

BTW when i went down to pay my bill Kev and Adam looked shocked and said you didn't have to come down so soon, I left with more thank you's just for paying my bill

not been there myself but have spoke to Adam and was very happy with everything he said , gave me lots of good free advice
2 friends (bob, earlier) and a mate with v4 type R (from devon) have nothing but good things to say about them.....
i have recently had a rebuild and there quote was the best . i eventually chose someone else though because they were only 30 miles from me, and only a little bit dearer . mind you i did have to drive round in a skoda courtesy car for 6 weeks

Default Ye

I bought car and noticed rear tyres wearing quickly so took it to clinic who said the front toe in was out thats all, they also commented on how I must like roundabouts and corners cause rear passenger side was so worn. I asked ads about upgrades he mentioned the whiteline stuff so I bought about a fortnight later but cause of standing around and them being 2 busy I went to TSL. This is where I found out the subframe was bent and the reason for the rear tyre wear and thats when I felt agrieved bout what I see as a wasted £120
I saw the frame off the car it was screwed I also have the printouts before the kit was fitted and after the new subframe and kit was fitted, just the drive speaks for itself.
Is that easier for ye mate sorry if it was a bit confusing 4 ye

Right, I got back from ScoobyClinic about 7.45pm, I'd been there since 10.30am BUT I have thoroughly enjoyed my day!

I have NEVER and I mean never met a group of such sorted lads anywhere and I work in the motor trade! The time they give customers, be it new or old is second to non! It was my first time there today and everyone I spoke to was more than happy to listen to me and give advise, even the lad working on my car was helpful enough to even show me what he was doing whilst he was doing.

Both Adam and Kev really made time for me today, and even though both of them were extremely busy (the phone never stopped ringing!) they made time to talk to me while I waited, yes I'd been there all day but if a business is busy as ScoobyClinic is its only a good thing which I accept.

As far as past comments of SC ripping people off? Well, originally I went down for a Power run and Diagnostic, they even moved me up the priority list above cars already in because I was only there for the day. The techy that was going to do the Power Run came to tell me that there was no point doing it because the Turbo UP-Pipe had split (common problem) and that the PR would give a false reading. If they were going to rip me off I'm pretty positive they would have done the PR anyway and then told me the up-pipe was damaged.

After talking to Kev about my options I got the up-pipe replaced and had the centre de-cat fitted at the same time. They had no problem in doing it for me whereas most places would have told me to rebook for another day.

So ScoobyClinic have done a great job and even made standing about a laugh and worthwhile. The alarm impressions were funny as f*ck!

I'll definately be going there again. Well done Adam and kev for running a great place, well worthy of the great reputation you have. Credit where credit is due.

scousefly what a complete prat you have made yourself look on here 7degrees are you sure "you wouldn't of even got out of the garage never mind anywhere else", I've said it before and i say it again if you have any problem with the lads at scoobyclinic just give them a ring don't be slagging them off on here that's just not cricket. I use them all the time and have never had a problem as many other people on here have said, with out question the best place to take your scoob bar none.

I've heard nothing but good stories about Scoobyclinic and have had good service from them when I've been down there for parts.....

But i have been put off by them recently when I rang up for a quote, I wanted a downpipe fitted and a fuel pump, both of which were supplied by me. I was quoted 6 hours labour for those two parts.

I personally thought that was a bit much even with their cheap labour it was still the most expensive quote from the 4 places I tried.

It's ok having cheap labour charges but they were quoting double the time than anyone else. That is also the reason I am travelling further (API) to get my car sorted this Wednesday.

Not having a go (before the SC supporters start on me) just letting you all know my experience.

Damo

It's nice to see someone who talks sense, as a friend of mine said recently the scooby sence isn't that big in term's of where we can take are car's and by slagging one off doesn't go down with other people who may be worried they may get the same treatment.

Who said i wasn't hahaha i wish, and i'm sure most of the smacs are devoted to prosport and say they wouldn't take there car anywhere else, the reason i take it there is they are always friendly and always have time for a chat plus they do really know what they are doing.
