I have my Prodrive type uk PPP insured as just a wrx STI. Is that officially wrong? Could my insurance pull out of a claim?

Cheers, Steve

Front lip spoiler looks like an orchiari item (with mesh I guess) and the side skirts STi probably

I have a black one too and there is a blue one in the car park I sometimes park next to. I actually was told by Directline that the Prodrive style is cheaper to insure than a normal STI as its limited edition. Their words and I got an extra 68 refunded.

I've got a blue STI Prodrive Style PPP.

I'm sure I saw somewhere that 750 of them were made. So not *that* rare I'm afraid. But have to agree they are one of the best looking imprezas ever made (biased, moi?).

I'll stick some pics up tomorrow.

Why isn't 750 in total considered 'rare'.

1000 P1's (all the same colour)
500 WR1's (all the same colour)

Only 100 in Black/Blue Mica

Well - compared to a WRX I guess the Prodrive is rare - I guess I just think that unless there are only 10 of them in the country - they're not that rare.

Anyhow; here's mine!

Dodgy pics; but for lack of better weather!

Please ignore the lexus clusters and non-standard badging. They are getting fixed ASAP - in fact, I pick up a full set of new badges from my local dealers tomorrow!

Ian.

Those are Morette headlights and not the Kosher STi Prodrive jobbies...are you sure yours is a STi Prodrive style ?

Just curious

Yip, its just had a lights change - I assume when those godaweful lexus lights were put on it! I'm goingl to blame them for the pointless badge change as well - I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact it's costing me £100 to rectify!

The V5, the original sales receipt and the records held by the dealers has it as a Prodrive type.

The door decals (at a frankly shocking £27 EACH!) and the rear STI Type-UK badges (apparently its a 2 part badge which costs in total @ £35!!)

So - actually its costing me about £93 or something + a 10% discount.

I know that most people wouldn't even notice.....

On mine? Yip, they're 18" Prodrives that seriously need refurbing (more nit-picking from me!!). And I do agree that they look much better. I know its almost heresy to say such a thing - but I don't actually like gold wheels!

Hay frayz found this

I say initial as more than 400 were produced. A total of 426 were finally made. 3 cars are designated 000 and are owned by Colin McRae, Nicky Grist and David Lapworth, there is no number 13 and 24 cars were made for issue outside Japan. Of this 24, 16 came to the UK and were badged 22B Type UK and the other 8 went to the owners of Subaru concessions throughout the world. It is rumoured that a few of this final 8 went to private collectors, such as The Sultan of Brunei.
So that does make our blue/black rarer
