its an estate. no difference in power\specs to the salons...(classic's that is).
wagon sounds cooler i guess but thats it. sportswagon sounds like its trying too hard or for people that don't really get it
all the info you need is here;

I don't wish to join in the estate/wagon argument so I'll just refer to them as estates/wagons
However I believe you can get a new age JDM estate/wagon. I've seen a few here in New Zealand but I'm not sure if they were WRX's or Sti's. In saying that though, It's only been bugeyes that I've seen, no blobeyes.
Might be worth considering if you can find one?
Cheers
Mike

Worth talking to them anyway for a new car, they can get a Euro-sourced but UK spec Impreza WRX Wagon with warranty etc for £17.5K, quite a saving

Running with front fog lights when conditions are Ok is an offence and can be inconsiderate. If you get stopped for this in some areas you automatically get an HORT1 (producer) with or without a careful inspection of tyres etc. which may lead to further detection. On the second stop for the same thing, expect to be reported.
Cool!

Hi,
DAIJONES, I have read your posts with some interest.
I have a MY05 SW and have decided to order STi front and rear sway bars.
The guy at the Scooby garage were I ordered them, told me that the difference in track from the saloon to the SW is not a factor and that the bars are for the SW, even though (here) they cannot officially fit them to the car, except of course for the STi.
I am wondering if you have any thoughts on this, because after reading your posts, it made think a bit more about the subject!
Also thinking about driving up to Powerstation or GRD to get some power upgrades this year.
Thanks

2006 wrx sportswagon
Anyone else got one of these?
Bought it brand new last November in WR blue of course.
230bhp 2.5 litre Boxer engine, European engine of the year in its class.
This is my first Scooby.
Can't believe how quick it is and how it leaves most cars for dead in the dry, no contest in the wet.
Had a chance to drive it in Wales in icy conditions. Awesome!!!
Whilst most 2 wheel drives were making progress very gingerly, the Scooby just carried on as if the roads were bone dry.
Unfortunately had to compromise with the wagon has I am a family man, but i have no regrets as I always get out of the car with a smile on my face.
Downsides - the crap economy (22mpg) and the insurance £900 even for an oldie like me.
Does everybody else suffer for crap economy with one of the new 2.5s?
Yes I know I drive it hard but with a mix of urban and motorway driving to and from work I would have expected better.
It hasn't been serviced yet so perhaps a Subaru tune up will make a difference.
Anybody modified one of these yet - ECU, exhaust, filter, etc and who did it?
I know PPP could do a mod for about £1500 which boost it to around 280bhp, but could it be done cheaper and could you get even more power out of it?

I assume in standard form yours was originally about 215bhp so 270bhp from the mods you have made is pretty impressive.
Who supplies the warranty? Powerstation?
EcuTek I have heard off and have looked into them before.
Thanks for the advice. 280+bhp sounds achieveable.
