was a little surprised at the team selection myself, but think people reading too much into this result. You had toure and febregas playing, first teamers. We had gerrard and perhaps hyppia.

starters ? dudek is not first team (and has probably played his last game anyway),neither is fowler.

We had to have a stronger bench in the event that we had to chase the game. though think by half time it was too late anyway.

still there's always the league to concentrate on :-)

I think dudek was just having a laugh cos rafa has had him on the bench for so long. He,s a good keeper and you dont turn that bad overnight

Raffa obviously doesn't understand that it aint good to get dumped out of two cups in 4 days by ARSENAL.

Maybe he should join SN and I can advise him on team selection .

not been on here for a while, but saw the thread and thought I'd have a go !

dudek sadly has always been that bad, he makes a one world class save in the CL final and thats all people remember him for. I for one can remember all this blunders against ManUre and last two games only brings it all back. He has to be responsible directly for 4 of the goals conceded in the past two games. A very average keeper at best of times.

I'm not going to diss the manager cos I've got respect for a man who won europe's premier trophy with an inherited team and also for winning the FA cup last year, but he has to show more respect to the cup competitions. I thought we had learnt that lesson 2 years ago at Burnley.

Its tough being England's most decorated team isn't it ?

It's not his fault he's Spanish - At least our frog knows how important the cups are if you're out of the title race .

IIRC Rafa said himself that he played quite a strong side...7 1st team players against 9 reserve team players
