Thats the double-double over Leeds now.

Contentious game I imagine from the Leeds supporters point of view with their 6 yellow cards but you really can't have any complaints. If you were at the game you'll know that we totally dominated the game - even David O'Leary agreed.

Just in case you mention it, we had 2 first teamers injured too, all part and parcel of football.

We've played all the 'top' teams now except Liverpool and Arsenal, then we've got a nice run in til the end of the season.

Don't get me wrong, we won't win it - Man Utd will, but we'll hopefully get a Champions League placing!

Daz .... At least 'You're not singing again'

Did catch some of the highlights but as with Cardiff Leeds were well beat with 10 men.

Leeds have only lost 3 in the league and that's two to you.

Don't care who wins as long as it's not the chaps from over the pennines.

Certainly is more interesting that the last couple of years at the the top.

They will return

Come on you Whites !!

Well put Neil !!

We WILL return !!

Wonder how you Magpies or anyone else for that matter would do with 8 (that's EIGHT)1st teamers injured !!?!

Still, Newcastle did play really well though !!

Cheers,

John

p.s. Anyone remember Leeds/Man U at Old trafford and the Arsenal fixture at Highbury !?! Oh.. and the Liverpool match at Anfield... We WILL return !!

Cool

An awesome performance, great result and football to purr over. Obviously I'd love us to win the title, but its not realistic, but its just great to enjoy watching them play again (Dalgleish hang your head in shame!)

I think its a bit OTT to describe the missing Leeds players as 1st teamers, 1st squaders maybe, I'm sure you'd consider at least 8 of the starting 11 as first teamers too!

Jerry, we had that for the last 3 seasons mate...

Kieron Dyer (out 8 months, only came back in Nov!)
Alan Shearer (out for months and months)
Duncan Ferguson (out forever, but great player)
Carl Cort (out forever, due back Feb)
Rob Lee - 1st teamer, missing against Leeds.

You just have to accept any team will pick up injuries. Some teams, like Leeds have a LOT of strength in depth - which we don't, which is all the more of an achievement to be sitting near the top of the league!

Besides, its not your injuries that are the problem - its the idiots who play for you like Danny Mills and Alan Smith, who will be perfectly fit, but missing through suspension.
