Big power New Age build

Roger clark motorsport is your answer,my WR1 was modified by Matt Clark at RCM last year,it has 487bhp and 432 Ib ft torque, the car still drives like the standard car,I have done 12000 miles since the upgrade,it starts first time even if left for 3 weeks, goes like stink,we had approx 175mph out of it at bruntingthorpe last year with 4 people in (ask gangsta).
And yes it as not the cheapest but you pay peanuts you get monkeys, since my car I know of a WRX a V5 sti a P1 that have had the same upgrade as mine but with the twisted turbo,my WR1 is booked in for the twisted kit in the new year to finish things off,so you now have your answer, look no more.

My P1 is in RCM at the moment having a 2.1, 550bhp twisted turbo conversion
They are very expensive but they are the best. Matt's attention to detail is amazing,as Chris says you get what you pay for.

Have you dyno'd using optimised road fuel - eg T99 + booster or the new bio-ethanol based fuel (believe 75% bio, with potential of 107 ROn @ 100%)
Anyone considered using cooled Water / methanol / booster blend spray system optimised to deliver on boost?!

GRIFF007,
FUEL
I will be doing so in 2007 (for testing purposes at this stage), but as a rule of thumb I will stick with pump fuel for mapping - in fact I havent even bothered remapping for VPower yet - (and as I do at present, run additional octane additives for such things as track and strip use).

Bio-ethonal:
Worth mapping solely for it? (over Vmax + NF?)
It is bound to become more freely available.
How much is it??
Graham
Surprised more about the fuel has nor been discussed or has it on 22B?

We all use our scoobs differently, with mine it has been to get it to where a WR1 should have been in the first place, and I would say it is nice to just cruise around slowly and then have a blast as we all do down our favourite bits of road and maybe a track day now and then,I don't bother with the local boy racers who nip by or the odd evo 400,they are all easy meat, and thats the nice thing with big BHP,its there if you want it.

As suggested earlier, increase capacity to around 2.5 and you will have a much more useable power band. Anything over circa 420bhp on a 2.0 starts to come a bit tiring to use, not much happening below 4000 rpm in the lower gears.
450bhp on a 2.5 can still be on boost by 3000 rpm and makes a much faster car on the road than a high strung 2.0.

what is rate of consumption / cost of methanol
if it can be switched off, how much does it affect performance or is car mapped for it and shuts back when switched off?
does it improve performance on full throttle directly prior to boost coming on line

Sounds like the engine spec for the new Type 25 would be ideal for you, so why not give Ian a call at litchfieldimports.
Excluding a remap the use of bio-ethanol would also require larger injectors and a new fuel pump over the std items.

When I had my more powerful Scoob it ran around 425bhp at 1bar and had massive torque from 3,500rpm. At 1.8bar it had over 550bhp.
In the car there was a pot with four positions to vary the boost between 0.6bar and 1.8bar. Having used it out on the road it was amazing how quickly I got used to 1bar and always turned it up.
If you've got it - use it
The engine was a CDB 2.33l which worked very well.
