Ok, the bank might payout. equally though they might get the hump and take my 5 grand overdraft of me. 1-1!
There are other banks out there that claim to match your existing over-draft limit aren't there? Change banks after maybe? £450 is £450 that should in your pocket plus interest

Anyway banks always get the hump that's why I enjoyed going into the branch today

Question

Overdraft interest?

Does this cover excessive charges for overdraft i.e overdraft interest and overdraft excess fee.

well its not *total* crap. Many of the banks apparently do use the terms and conditions as their first line of defence, you just have to to have enough facts about you to know to push on.

Also, some banks will close your account so its a good idea to set up an account with another bank just in case

I've just sent 2 letters out for this.. one to HBOS and the other to RBS.

My old man sent one out to clydesdale bank and he got a letter back this morning telling him all these excuses i.e. it costs them £30 to authorize a unauthorized direct debit etc utter nonsense, 4 weeks time they're getting refered to the small claims court for a good rinsing of money!!

at the end of the day they cant win as they're carrying out illegal proceedings

BTW it doesnt matter if your account is closed or open, they're still liable.

Nationwide are trying to get out of their charges with me, claiming we're clear and honest!

So I'll phone them on monday asking why they are so high? Cos they're higher charges than HSBC!

You think a £5 an hour call centre moron is going to give you the answer you want? LOL It would be quicker to just print off the letter and get it in the post

No but the manager should hopefully. I don't care cos the accounts getting closed anyway. I've never met such an unhelpfull organisation.

They even tried fobbing me off with a Link mandate over another issue I had with them, unfortunately for them, I worked for Link so knew better, they didn't like being proved wrong.
