Bizarre. We're off to pick up the car on Sat, so Manda rang up to arrange for the insurance to start on Saturday morning. The insurers had said we needed a different policy for this car because modifications are strictly not covered on the standard one, so imagine her surprise when the bloke on the phone said he would simply transfer the policy and there would be no extra charge for the back box! It sounds like half of them don't have a bloody clue!!

You're JOKING!?
I spoke to a chap there about a BackBox and he said it was acceptable after weeks of L&V saying they would not entertain anything at all ... bar a Towbar!
The name was a Philip ****, is that who you spoke to? The odd thing is that the wording will never appear on the Policy (but I have an e-mail confirming the situation) .... Stainless Steel BackBox which may not exactly reflect the original backbox.

The Missus did the deal, she's the policy holder. Speaking to three different operators over the week we've had three totally different appraisals of the situation and three different quotes. He also said that "backbox only" modification wasn't listed, but was encapsulated in "modified exhaust system". So they think a non-oem backbox is the same as a fully-decatted three inch stainless exhaust system. That would explain the earlier figures they arrived at.

Yes, shark man ..... tried confused .... fine until you try and put in backbox - then it all goes **** up!
Like Bubba says .. they cannot tell the difference between a fully de-catted 5" tubular full system and a Stainless Steel backbox!
