No Certificate :(
even if you cannot get the certificate from the PPP conversion you are still entitled to a full and detailed receipt from the subaru dealer stating the work carried out,if you paid by credit or debit card and they are not willing to do this you would be best to contact your bank, who will no doubt tell them it has to be done

You still cannot get passed the fact that they failed to disclose that you wouldn't be getting a certificate of authenticity before taking your money..!
If they had said to you before hand " yes Mr00, we will install PPP on your car, however we can't give you a certificate..." would you of gone ahead with the purchase and if so would you have been happy paying the full price..?..
I'd still want some form of monetary compensation..!

Hmm.........all Impreza's sold in Cyprus prior to May 2004 were JDM cars.
My friend owns the Subaru dealership in Limassol, Cyprus. (Chris Phedia)
I wasn't given a PPP certificate when I had a brand new Belgian import WRX 03 fitted with PPP at Marlborough Subaru, Isleworth, in 2003, all beaurocratic crap really, after all, the certificate is only a piece of paper, and should be issued without question, especially when you have just parted from £1600 of your hard earned cash, but it just goes to show what lengths Subaru UK will go to to make you feel 'uncomfortable' at owning anything other that a Type UK.
That's why I own a JDM STi now!
