I expect Christmas will be banned in that office as well, that seems common-place these days

I got pulled up at the Police for reading the paper, at lunch time at my desk.
I was told to close it as it may be considered offensive, sure enough I find the Daily Mail offensive (borrowed paper so couldnt be choosy), the issue was a Marks and Spencers underwear ad, a lady in her underwear stood in a demure pose in a nice room, no close up, no camel toe or anything and I got dragged into the office, now I can understand why the Sport isnt work safe but the Daily Mail ?

To ban a picture drawn by a 5 year old is unbelievably petty and it sounds like a manager with an inadequate personality trying to prove how powerful he is really even if he can't command any personal respect.

As in "Any **** putting ****e drawings on the walls will be feckin sacked on the spot!.... Now get on and finish your work you feckin pond scum"
Productivity 100% - Loves Boss 0% (Boss feared and gets pay rise)
Or respect through love & understanding
"Yes put your kids drawings up Doris, and then if it isn't too much to ask I was wondering if you wouldn't mind doing some work?" ..... to which "Sorry Boss, I'm too emotional to do anywork and I'll need a day off to recover"
Productivity 0% - Loves Boss 100% (Boss also sacked)

I'm firmly with DCI Hunt on this one Well done that man for telling all the working class exactly what we expect off them at work. Our place would indeed look like a bloody art attack studio gone mad if everyone were allowed to bring in pictures drawn by loved ones and random kids off the street!
Place now looks lovely and bland, with just the dirt grey walls to contemplate as life slips by outside

Only a manager from Royal Mail would say that It's a shame Royal Mail cannot put more effot into looking after their staff and customers rather than have a pop at their staff, In fact my boss told me they can stay on the wall as they are not at all offensive, The boy in question is the son of the girl I work with, if the manager in question had asked me first maybe I would'nt have gone off the end like I did, He is so wet behind the ears the poor sod is drowning
Cheers
