This is a tough one. If I saw some poor old Lady getting set upon, I would have to step in, I would try to get some help first tho'
But blokes mugging blokes, I would be as much use as a chocolate fireguard

Wahey!!! back on topic before the muppets castigate this thread to the hutch...
A friend and I stopped a mugging late at night down a town centre alley a few years ago. Two fellas were punching lumps out of two smaller lads. We shouted over and ran at them so they scarpered in the opposite direction.
The lads we had helped explained their wallets and mobiles had been taken so we escorted them into every bar around looking for the two culprits to retrieve their belongings and ensure that two wrongs did make a right but they were nowhere to be found.
We walked the lads to a taxi rank and saw them on their way with a few quid...
All of it was just off the cuff... Didnt think about any of our actions but felt an inner smile afterwards

Yes I would and I did and put the scum bag on his back with my foot over his throat, after he knocked out a 17 year old girl for her bag and mobile phone, he managed to get away but I gave him a bloody good slap as he did.

Change the "n" for a "t" Sara-it shoiuld become clear as mud then.
I hate those kind of thieving arseholes, our local paper shop, in a small village, had its poppy box and the money stolen yesterday! What kind of a character has a person like that got?

I think id not get too involved physically, but try to put off the attacker by distracting him somehow? Doing something very strange has the funniest side effects on people!
When ever i get a road rage moment, instead of getting angry i turn it on its head..... i once wound down my window and shouted to the guy in the next car.....'Can i buy you a drink mate?'. Before he looked ready for a punch up. After my comment he was confused. and drove off quietly . Just for good measure i used my phone camera to take a pic of him.

Me and the G/F was leaving a restaurant not so long ago. As we were walking back to the car a young woman starts walking towards us, closely followed by a bloke. He walked right up behind her, raised both his hands up in the air and brought them down on both of her shoulders. He then took hold of her and pushed her up against some shop windows. I stepped in and told him if he wished to bully anyone he should have a pop at me. He looked up and saw me (6ft5/17 stone) and must have thought better of it, with which he ran off.
As soon as he got a fair distance away, he stopped and made some idle threats and then carried on running. The woman walked off in the opposite direction without a word of thanks . I put it down shock.
I'd do it again, likewise if I witnessed a mugging

Never had a proper fight before in my life but if I was in town and some ****** was doing someone over one on one, then I'd feel guilty as **** if I just walked by...
Will never know unless it happens.
I'm not big and not hard, but I am strong and ugly so that should help.
Must admit I feel much more likely to help a bird out than another bloke
Not sure why
Andy
