not really onto two seaters as i have a german shepard and need a little practicality, so s2000's etc are out but a 2+2 can be done as i had a supra.
so need something with similar performance as my subaru but after something which turns heads was thinking TVR cerbera but not the most reliable and a guy at work has a tuscan 2 and it went pop yesterday so that has really put me off
so what do you all think? mpg etc not a concern

Ive got a German Shepard and there's no chance I would let him get in any car that I have paid £15k for, after 2 weeks the car would smell and be full of dog hair. Id pay £14k for a decent car that you like and with the extra £1k Id get a beat up Land Rover Defender to put the dog in.
That or pay £15k for a pick up and strap him to the back, If he is anything like my dog he would love that.

LOL!
My Labrador and Spaniel go in the boot of the Audi - in the dog tray!
There's no way they would be allowed in the actual cabin - certainly not after their walk

I believe that the earlier cams ("clatter cams") were more fragile, but also longer duration and higher lift. People complained about the noise, so they introduced the "whisper cams" which are supposed to be stronger. TBH failure usually manifests itself as wear on the cam lobes, picked up during routine servicing. It's a bit of a bugger to get hold of camshafts though. The shafts themselves occasionally break, but it's very rare.
I have 45k on the clock on clatter cams. Last inspection at a respected indie said they were fine, with no signs of abnormal wear. But who knows what will happen tomorrow? Still, life is for the living.
