Paul,

As you have have had an old Legacy I think a few months down the line would be a good bit of feedback on cossie vs subaru. In terms of running a 10+ year old car, value for money, performance etc.

I think it would make an intertesting read either way

Ouch!!!! I know standard ones go for alot of money with high mileage but that's just silly.

That's right, they were fitted to the facelift model in 1990-1992 I think which also had a different dashboard. 89-90 4x4s had the same wheels as mine.

Bloody hell they are the right wheels and bonnet for a 2WD.

Looks straight mate get on PassionFord.com.

Also the paint does look split where the rear doors start.

Damn I'd forgotten that they were refered to as taxis I'm sure it'll be loads of fun but when the roads get slippery I think it'll need respect.

Thanks

I've been outside this afternoon giving it a clean

As you look down the panels the paint seems to match and those stripes must have been on there a very long time. I've got to put them back on because the previous owner started removing them but on the front wings someone has laquered over the stripes so I'm going to get them matched back in I think

I've got to refit the dash, service it & give it a once over then I've got to MOT it. Once that's all done I plan on using it and tidying it up as I go along I might stick a chip in it but that'll be about it.

I'm not looking forward to putting the dashboard back in. It looks like a nightmare at the moment.

All the bits are in the boot. I hope it's straight forward.

Looks much better now that you've given it a clean.

Sorry, my mistake on the wheels question.

looks really nice (well outside it does, indside look like its going banger racing), the reason for everybody saying they aren't the right wheels is that every single Cossie has after market wheels so nobody remembers, all the original wheels are on 2.0 GLSi's that have long since been scrapped.

I want a D reg 2 door in Moonstone blue like the one that was round our way when I was 16, it may as well have been a Lambo for the respect it got.

Massive diff you made there with the clean mate

Was gonna slate it for being an ugly as sin sierra until those later pics

However - IMHO, leave the dash out it looks better now than with it in!! Its a travesty of design the sierra dash - absolutely awful!!

There's a job for you in the valeting business.

That's one of the biggest before/after differences I've ever seen.

Are you sure you ONLY washed it?

Looks good mate.

That dash board looks worse than it is matey. Ive done a number of dash boards, and just go slow, try to label things, or test before you put things back.

Slow and steady wins the race ! :-)

You may find a few things wont work, due to earthing, poor fitting clips, just take your time and it will be a piece of pi55.
