Hi,

Im Bren, Im running the GB I own a company called Apex Performance Parts UK based in Bradford.

I doubt many of you guys have heard of us as we are Nissan specialists but Im the managaing director. We have 7 members of staff here in a 4000sq/ft building with over £250ks worth of performance parts stock on the shelf. We are a mail order company and have both trade and retail customer not only all over the UK but also spread through Europe and indeed all over the world.

Not only do we deal with a wide range of UK and wordlwide companies and suppliers but we also deal with factories in various coutries who produce goods for ourselves. We have our own suspension, alignment parts, air filter kits, intercooler, brake kits, bushes, shortshifters etc made for us and we are happy to get involved in the production of any parts you guys might need be them exhausts, decats, downpipes, brake kits, coilovers, manifolds, pistons etc.

I intend to be offering you guys a load of cracking deals in the coming future. We can supply a range of goodies at excellent prices. We do the DS2500s for the 4 pot Scoobies for £117.50, Apexi Power FCs at £545, Apexi AVCRs at £279, Walbros at £89 etc.

As Matt says we have 50x GC8 kits sat here ready to go and Im in the middle of chasing down a due date on the later kits.

Please bear in mind that the prices quoted INCLUDE carriage so if we get 16 people involved then the prices drops right down to just £180 (with carriage being £15).

Thats pretty damm good whichever way you look at it

Im chasing for a date on the later kits now.

If we just let the list of names run for now then Ill get the info on the later kits and once thats through Ill post up further instructions as to how to proceed.

What we will do is start taking peoples names and details. We wont process the payment until we have a definate price for the kits, I cant see £195 delivered being a problems.

We are one of the very few official main UK Apexi dealers and deal direct so can get anything and everything they offer. A GB on their intakes is no problem if you guys want one.

We have an order going through with Apexi at the moment so Im adding a couple of Power Intakes for Imprezas.

We are nearly ready to go with the classic kits, they can be sorted the moment we reach 16 and I can send them straight out with the later kits to follow

Yeah its £180 plus carriage if we get 16 people involved.

£366 delivered through a legitimate UK company with all taxes paid along with full UK Apexi dealer back up and therefore a fair and valid comparison or illegally imported goods with altered invoice values and therefore an unfair and irrelevent comparison?

The price in Japan is 98000JPYEN plus £30 carriage plus duty plus vat plus handling charge comes out at £591.89. And that involves importing the goods yourself with all the associated agro if the goods are damaged, are incorrect and also opens you upto the possibilities for fraud. And then you dont get proper UK official back up.

So plus carriage, plus duty, plus vat, plus handling charges and then youve paid similar money for a unit that came from the other side of the world so youre in a pickle if its the wrong one or if anything goes wrong with it.

As far as I know we are very competitively priced for a legitimate UK based company, I havent seen them cheaper anywhere else

Why would a Japanese company add UK import duty, UK vat and a UK freight companies handling charges? Its nothing to do with them. When you import goods from outside the EU then the UK tax man charges you for import duty on the total cost of the products, freight and insurance then vat on that totat. Goods delivered through EMS usually get passed to Parcel Force. Parcel Force charge you to clear the goods through customs and wont release the goods to you until you have paid that fee.

You can undervalue the goods to help avoid the taxes but then (apart from the blatent fact that you are breaking the law which isnt taken lightly by the vat man nor customs and excise) ) if the goods go missing or are damaged in transit (and remember we are talking about Parcel Farce handling the goods here) then youve not got a leg to stand on and you can say bye bye to your £400 Power FC.
