Just thinking about it now, i work in macc but dont finish til 5ish so it might be better for me to go straight from work n get some food on the way.

If i can do that this will be the 1st time ive been the unicorn, could someone put up the addy for it?

Cheers

I'll probably be riding shotgun with the Chief.
This looks like its more of a convoy than a little run out ! !
Might be worth splitting into 2 groups or something.

Only got them done at EARS coz couldn't get hold of Adam in Buxton and it was sounding like a bag of spanners!!!!!!!!!!!! Handbrake sticking now I feel an expensive few months coming up. Just about to clock 50,000 due for service in April do you think I should have my cambelt done? I do about 10-12,000 miles a year quite hard driving Cat & Fiddle every day.

I can have a go at doing your wheel bearings if you like but considering I won't do my own pretty risky!!!

LOL Was just thinking that. I never thought this many would turn out tbh.

There are a few junctions I can see us getting split up at, but Dai has kindly offered to enter the route into his SatNav so there'll be at least two of us who know it.

It's a simple route to follow and I'll tell you the basics on the night so you all have a rough idea of where to go.

maybe split it into 2 groups then - you lead one group and Dai lead the second

Oh Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,

Dont let Dai's Sat Nav guide you, you will end up in Bromsgrove Birmingham.

Its those Chinese maps that he down loaded off www.getmelostoften.com

I may be able to make it, just depends if The Boss sorted her stuff out that we are supposed to be doing, if you know what I mean, got to keep her happy with The Ring coming up

Name ONE time when I have got you lot lost!!!!!

Just ONE.....Go on....Name it.

Oh, the small M6 diversion!!

Also took the entire WYIOC up a dead-end once, but thats another story

I have offered to run shot-gun at the back, to pick up the slower cars (yes, that mean you Chef) rather than splitting into two groups.

But it is Paul's shout.

lol, you'll probably be needing to pick me up too at the back too, i have a slight top speed issue you see lol.

Something to do with having a close ratio box, feels like it needs sixth lol.

Don't worry mate, I've never been at the pointy end of one of these drives before so I don't think there'll be any problems keeping up.

<soapbox>

Guys, this is Paul's run out and it is his call on the route, pace, organisation etc.

I know some of you enjoy higher speeds, but this cannot always be accomodated and everyone should be allowed to do their runs as they want.

I VERY MUCH enjoyed the three of us out the other week, but we could only run at that pace due to small numbers (and brain removal). Large numbers on a run will slow things down. We must drive to the slower cars.

Please make this an enjoyable run for everyone, not just those with jet engines.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the high speed drives myself. I just get the impression it's a whole different ball game when you're first in the queue with all your mates behind you!!

I'm sure once we get on the move I'll relax and enjoy having the (hopefully empty ) roads in front of me!!

My post was not a critism of anyone - just a reminder that we are a club for all comers and as such everyone should respect each other and their individual cars and abilities - be they fast/slow/my nan/The_Chief.

Don't forget there is a Shell garage right next door to the Unicorn - and they've upgraded to V power now too

We should all be driving within our personal limits and at a pace you are comfortable with - be that (disc)warp speed or granny speed!

LOL

I feel you Dai

Today was one of the best day's ever of scoob ownership. I'm coming out of Sheffield after visiting a friend. Getting onto the road that leads to Baslow on a duel carrigeway. Notice something red and wide in the distance, Ferrari??? Get closer and holy **** it was a 355 F1. My first chance against something quick! I went passed him at about 50mph (duel carrigeway remember) and he immediatley pulled behind me, i thought yes, game on Were approaching a round-a-bout onto the single carrigeway and we get stuck behind a Merc about 5 mins later i see the jackpot, a long straight with nothing coming the other way so i drop the 3rd and give it some welly. He immediatley follows but guess what? the ****** is going backwards in my rear view mirror By now were doing *** miles an hour (in 6th to give you an idea) and i pulled about 10 car lengths on him. I couldn't stop laughing i was so excited, i was shaking like a leaf too the whole way through

So by now we caught another car and he was right up my **** once more. I thought bollox to it, i'll do him again So on the next straight we both pulled out and he went backwards again We came to a slow crawl behind some lorries and i could see his 8/9 year old son sat forward looking at my car probably saying "daddy, why is that Subaru faster than your Ferrari??" and the guy probably thinking, i don't know, how the **** can a jap box beat my Italian Stallion??? Hahahahahahahahaha

Fantastic
