Yep its probably not a bad offer then for yours.
Whats scary is 18 months and 11000 miles ago a WRX was around £19000 from a dealer and now the best trade in would be £12550.
Thats a loss of around £350 a month !! (I know as soon as it leaves the forecourt it loses a large amount but this is dividing it equally).

For me it is only 30% depreciation, compared with almost 40% when I got rid of the 307 after one year.....
The Audi is 23%, so relatively not that bad I guess......
All in all lost £12k in a year over two cars......

Just interested where you got the WRX300 insured for £380?
Like you the decision to by a WRX300 was helped by the cheaper insurance. I'm paying about the same as you at the moment but mines up for renewal next month and I think it'll shoot up because I got a discount as a new customer last year.

I'm with Elephant as well.
I think, like most insurers, they give an extra discount during the first year for new customers. My first years up next month so I'll probably loose the extra discount.
With other insurers you can usually cancel your auto renewal and then go on the web as a new customer and get the discount again. I'm not sure thats possible with Elephant though.

Its not depreciation I mind its the fact that Subaru, bring out a new model every year which just hurts 2nd hand values for existing owners.
In the end faced with the free servicing/ppp/fuel offers but high sticker prices I bought a Euro car to mimimise the amount I could lose. (and wouldnt hesitate to buy another after getting burned a few years ago with a mint uk celica that I paid top money for just before jap imports started coming up for 1/2 the price.)

Anybody sold, or PX their WRX300? Offered £13500, which I think is a standard WRX trade in, as it should be around £15500.
Would assume I would be good for £16-17k private?
Anybody got ride of their pride and joy?

The wifes MY 55 WRX 300 is going today, after ringing around 5 dealers she found one to take it for £13.300(not bad i thought).......The rest had to much stock they couldnt shift as it was.And with the interest rates poss going up and the free fuel offer together with a new model AGAIN next year now was the best time....Some dealers did admit that the free fuel offer had peeeeed of a lot of people selling nearly new cars..She wont really miss the car a she moaned about not being as nice to drive as the MY98 classic before ..Shes gone for something different now a new fiesta zetec s tdci.....£50 tax a year !!!..£170 to insure and 60 MPG ..and wont loose £9000 in a year.!!
