But it is a matter of the principle of the law. If I decide to stop off for a few beers on the way home tonight and then decided to drive home afterwards, and during that journey someone decides to jump in front of my car I would pay a price even if stone cold sober there would have been nothing I could do.
The principle is I should not have been there in the first place, harsh yes, but a valid point was made.
