he wants to come that is clear. He's been seen at the ground. It's just if a fee can be agreed. Bayern wont try and keep him if they can get good money.

Please tell me you didn't expect the deal to be tied up in a couple of days - we tend to drag things out these days, for one reason or another.

He is coming though, just be patient.

I just never believe we are signing a player until I see him run out in a United shirt at OT.

They said they can offer 50m but they still won't release him from his contract

I remember when Davids nearly sgined for Utd a few years back and the Daily Mail did a two page spread on how Keane and Davids would rule the Premiership, since then I have never believed a deal was done and dusted until the "player" ran out in a Utd shirt, so it was a worry to see the two page spread in The Sun saying what a great double act Carrick and Hargreaves would make.......

I think we can put this one to bed now, Bayern have said they will report Utd to FIFA f they don't leave them alone over Hargreaves, fair enough.

I still refuse to give up on this one.

If they had no intention of letting him go, why allow United to speak to him?

Big clubs like Bayern and Chelsea like stringing small clubs like United along

They're probably waiting for Chelsea to offer double what Utd are for another bench-warmer, just to stop Utd getting him

Maybe not, Hargeaves plans to hold a press conference today advising why he wants to leave, if he stays and keep this up I fancy Fergie will probably get him in Januray, it's not nice to see it degenerate like this though.

Didn't see that before.

As long as we get him (and perhaps Tevez too) that's all that matters.

Be interesting to hear (read!) what he said, surely his managers word is final. I'd love him to come though.

He actually ended up saying nothing of interest:

"For the time being, I will not comment on this issue anymore. I am still not 100 percent and I am going home to rest."

Not a very good retort mate, you're slipping .

Seems rather strange situations in the transfer market at the moment, what with Hargreaves and Cole

You'll have to forgive me, I'm suffering from a headache after an afternoon in the pub.

Our transfer activity this summer has been pure pantomime.
