Ok, name one instance where a club owner had the funds to buy players like Abramovich? When Fergie took over Man United they certainly weren't in any real position to win the league.

Chelsea is a differant case to clubs that have bought their success before.

How do you know they are getting bored?? they haven't thrown the toys out of the pram like RVN

Duff being a prime example, he'll get plenty of games at Newcastle.

Yeah, I forgot about Blackburn. Man United took a while though.

In 3 seasons at Chelsea he played 125 games, he was out for three months with a dislocated shoulder, would hardly call that not playing

Is it the PR people or is the newspapers wanting to blow everything out of all proportion?

Chelsea don't have it that bad, especially with regards to the media and FA.

Compare Rooney's sending off against Porto to Salomon Kalou's horror challenge against the MLS All-Stars.

Kalou's challenge (which in my opinion was a straight red) was shown on Sky Sports News once during the highlights, whereas Rooney's made the front/back pages of the daily papers, and prompted a vast deal of condemnation, and now a three game ban, in which should have been a soft yellow.

There is now a media frenzy surrounding chelsea and its team/staff who cannot wait to knock them down and if anyone in the press is to have a go it would be the Guardian and some women who is just another PC hack who eminates from that paper.
actually Amy Lawrence is a season ticket gooner for many years, and started off writing in the fanzines. She knows her football (but probably also hates Chelski)

Amy Lawrence also has ghost writed for Beckhams latest autobiography that and being a Gooner only substantiates my last post of being a brainless hack.

I believe its time for someone to do something though as the high prices that are paid in the transfer market are passed onto the fans, be this in you season ticket price or general merchandise. Also the wages that these players are on is ridiculous. i know everyone is going to spout on about its not just the players that make the money its also the agents , but surely something can be put into place to stop this?

My own teams transfer record is £14 million which in todays market isnt that bad and i also understand that we have a wage cap but when you look at players like ferdinand and ballack picking up over 100k a week it kind of makes you sick.

My opinion of course but im sure a few of you think along the same lines
