Default CHARITY SHIELD

So come on who,s going to win? we,ve both had pretty crap pre-seasons with maybe the mighty red mens being the worse. but hey we,ve got some good new signings and on the day can beat anyone . remember last years semi? im sure both sides do so they will be well up for it.
come on you mighty red men

p.s i leave at 6.30 in the morning to go down to cardiff but dont worry i wont be drinking till at least 7

Being a purely neutral on this I'd say....

GO ON CHELSKI

(plus a load of season long injuries to both sides )

I detest you both (in a fairly friendly, non-violent way), although Mourinho is getting his excuses in early.

I'm hoping for a non-result due to an excess of injuries.

Well done LFC and what a cracking goal too.

Just goes to show, that you don't have to spend Squillion's to win.

Cr@p defending from Chelsea. almost comical. Did you hear Murinho afterwards, kepted saying its a minor pre season game and hes not bothered. Brilliant.

Was happier with that performance than the mid-week game against Maccabi, although I think Chelsea made it easier for us than they could have Sissoko showed that he wasn't daunted by Ballack's reputation or price tag and the Finnan/Pennant combination showed promise too

Fat Frank looked like he could be bringing his summer performance standard back to club level

Our first goal was a gift Cuddicini should have stopped it, Cech definitely would have stopped it. But they all count

hello paul im still trying to sober up mate what a fantastic day out the mighty red army had. what a team we had on the pitch led by the young momo sissoko . fantastic goal by mr riise as well with mr cudicini doing his best to slap the ball away from the net the one with the big mad name you bought for a ridiculous amount of rubbles was not very impresive, although he did take his goal well . what a finish by the so called "freak" mr crouch as well, not bad for a man who everyone was writing off when we signed him. i personally believe that the man you signed from a certain german club (who is supposedly one of the best midfielders in the world ) bottled it in midfield against a man that ran rings around him and was snapping at his heels every time he got near the ball .
oh and by the way paul there were loads of chelsea fans that are that rich and that stuck up that they bought not just there own ticket but also at least 10 seats around them all for themselves, all the other seats that they bought tickets for they left empty . i think this was to stop the annoying thing happening were peasents sit by you and talk to you or get in your way and block your view of the your team playing football

correct. As a United fan I was always worried if we won it as every time we lost we went on to win the league...

success is measured on trophy,s and the last time i looked the charity shield is a trophy anyway its a good excuse to go down to the excellent city called cardiff and have a bloody good drink if you ask me and its always nice to see jose spitting his dummy out, and i think he was definately taking it serious looking at his starting 11 !!!!!!

More the fact that Chelsea are struggling to shift tickets.

Tickets to their opening match in the Premiership this weekend have now gone on general sale – laughable, see:
