Aberdeen.
Excellent nightlife (100+ bars/nightclubs within city centre, many open until 4am, casino after that if you still want to party)
Reasonable housing (though much cheaper if you move 5 miles outside city centre. Check out www.aspc.co.uk Can get reasonable 1 or 2 bed flats from 50k upwards
Good job prospects with lots of oil companies
Plenty of decent places to eat.
Good clean beach (though water is on the chilly side at times )
about 6 municipal golf courses (about £6 - £10 per round), plus many other private ones.
Minutes from excellent countryside (superb scenery/driving roads)
Clean air
Don't get sweltering 30+ degree temps at this time of year (ie you can sleep OK without air-con/fans). We did have 28 - 29 degress at the weekend though, so not get good warm temps, but not too hot.
Short commuting times
Close (1hr) to ski slopes for winter sports if you are into that sort of thing.
Real snow and ice during the winter

90 per cent of the scottish lasses look like toby mugs and would easily win a gurning competition without pulling a face
Brum is good if you like asian babes...i used to buy that very same **** mag years ago plus the good old 40 plus
I passed through Buxton once upon a time and it seemed to me it was full of sameheads.....basically too many years of inbreeding creates families with the same shaped heads...you see them on trisha or jeremy kyle all the time
Lord Shrek....looking after the pervs best re-location interests

York!!
Get yourself on the Micklegate mile on a Saturday night in the hot summer. If you have not only scored but actually had a **** by the time you get to Jinnah you must either be dead or just dead drunk.
The hen night capital of the north - so basically from lunchtime on Saturday the place is full of predatory totty that has been drinking cheap pomagne since eleven in the morning!!!
And to whoever mentioned Norwich - you have to be joking. 120,000 people and 100,000 of them share two surnames.
Common phrase used in the bar - meet my wife, sister and cousin - and don't bother looking for the other two women there will only be one
Also the strip club is only open four nights a week and is full of girls from the local insurer's call centres and the pick and mix counter at Woolies
Summary - hole, empty!

Nottingham is a fantastic city. As is Manchester. I lived in both and of course they have their problems but unless you want to go play with guns you wont find the problems affect you.
Nottingham city centre is, by city standards very nice, mainly pedestrianised, usual high street stuff but also lots of clusters of designer shops.
I now live in Birmingham, the current gun capital of England and, apart from through my work, I have never seen anyone with a gun, never heard one and I wouldnt even know where to buy any drugs, not that I'd want any mind
But my personal favourite is Leamington Spa. Great little town with fab houses, enough decent bars and restaurants a nice park in the town centre and expensive enough to keep the ruffians out - so I cant afford it

Cheltenham.
Called "festival town of England apparently"
Some festival going on every time I go into town..
About every 5th doorway in town is a pub or club teaming with totty.
Closest we get to water is the open air swimming pool though
Famous Racecourse.
Historic,
Posh

They reckon that up to a certain level, levels of background radiation are actually good for you. They were looking at deaths/cancers etc from the fall-out from Chernobyl, and so far it seems like less than 200 deaths in total have occurred, most of them being guys who reached extreme levels of radiation when cleaning up the immediate spillages etc.
The place with the highest naturally occurring background radiation in the world, has a lower than average level of cancer/birth abnormalities.

Bristol isnt bad if you go to the right places. Generally clean - graffiti gets cleaned up quickly, so you dont often see it. Clifton area is nice, with lots of nice bars and restaurants. On the minus side there do seem to be a LOT of chavs if you go to the wrong parts!

Cardiff.
Good shopping, good nightlife, places of interest, friendly people (really ) and as a bonus it's a few minutes away from the M4 so you can make a quick getaway if you need to.
(ps. I don't live there)
