As for the Nova, I struggle to see why anyone would spend loads of money on one of the stupid little cars, why not buy a proper fast car in the first place?
Thats rich coming from someone on a scoob forum, as a scoob aint the best car to start modding with...

Why did I spend 3k on a scoob and over £30k modding it?

Infact, why have I spent a few hundred quid on my new scoob shell and plan on moving all the mods across to it..

And I used to have a nova

Can only imagine what a turbo'd Nova would be like! I had a 185bhp 2.0, 16V nova...it did a 13.6s qtr @ 106mph at York on the first run. It also span the wheels most of the way up the track! On the 5 speed box with matching LCD dash, I managed 148mph top end. Handled like a banana though even on coilovers.

All of this "not big and cleaver" is hysterical coming from some of you... i wasnt bragging about what speed i was doing i was merely taking an interest in clearly a very special little car.

If id said we were on a runway would that make it okay to talk about a fast nova ??

All of you muppets that say youve never sped are talking **** and even worse are the ones bleating about whats the point of modifying a cheap crap car..

Scoobies are cheap crap cars to begin with... just not as cheap as a nova lol

I cant belive just how many stuck up pr1cks there are around here, thankyou for those that can actually understand this thread and why i posted it.

You know who you are

Anyone winging about the speed you might aswell go sell your cars and get the bus.

Martin,

I hope you enjoy your type 25,

shame really.. i couldnt afford the Enzo either

Thumbs up

hi all, i now its a scooby site. but i now what these cars can do, my mate has one. & yes thay can do easerly 150 mph. tuned up you can get upto 160+ out of them, and i beleave respect is do. 150 mph in one of them cars is scary, beleave me. i did over 145 in my corsa when i had it. that only had 192bhp as well. ive seen these cars get 11.16 on the quarter. quick i think.

i now what frayz is saying.

Its great David, its nice to see that someone with proper power knows what im talking about. I used to own a saff cossie and im still desperately trying to get my scoob to be half as exciting.

Trouble is mate, these people think that a scooby is the fastest, greatest car in the world... What idiots

Hey I just gave my considered opinion, for what it's worth (not a lot evidently), no need to start throwing insults around.

Oh and T25 is going great thanks, still too fast for me!

Frayz, now look what you've done, you've encouraged this plonker onto scoobynet, there maybe no getting rid of him now.

Didnt expect anything less really mate.... this place is full of narrow minded pr1cks.

I was more interested in finding out if someone knew the car or the guy that owned it to find out the spec.

Obviously you dont know either of those which makes me wonder why people like yopu reply to something you clearly have no interest in

Wink

Slight difference in stories here.

Frayz post
Grow up mate, it was a nice car and we had a good tear up,

No he didnt beat me but any nova thats only 8 or so car lenghts behind @ 150mph deserves respect and only when i pulled passed 160 did i really lose him.

If you got nothing constructive to say... dont bother

QuickNova boys post.

It would be strange if Frayz is running at 160mph and Novaboy at 110mph and they only being 6-8 car lengths in it!!

Frayz - fair play t'ya mate

Just because you have the ***** to drive your car and have a bit of fun don't let the 'i never speed' brigade put you down.

And you did well to get 160mph with a lot of the people on this post in your car....as they were obvioulsy all there seeing they feel they are able to judge you and pass comment.

IF it was an empty motorway with just the 2 cars what is the problem, the only lives at risk were the 2 drivers (oh.....and the back seat drivers), and it was their decision to do what they did.
