The modding of cars does not **** me off (each to there own and all that - mp brigade are just us lot with less disposable income).
It is the 'oh scooby/evo/cossie (in fact insert any seriously quick car here) lets 1) drive dangerously in an effort to show how fast my car is / 2) lets see if we can get him to floor it' mentality that causes the problems IMHO. I don't see a porker and immediately floor it to see if he will race or sit up his tailpipe to watch him blow me away.. sadly some do and i'm sure its not just scoobs that get this treatment. The sadder thing in my experiance is that the perpertrators are nearly always young kids in kitted up novas/fiestas etc (and they do wear bb caps backwards )
I still agree with tony, but i think we all call it as we see it, my problems come from the young ones with all the mods but equally someone else may post the same comments about 30yr old repmobile driver but we don't complain then do we???
That my view anyway and i'm sure i've just offended lots of people

Generalisations r always in abundance it's inevitable but it's nice 2 c a no. of good points being made.
Generally speaking it is accepted that young drivers have a better ability to react quicker to whats thrown at them. However they r more likely 2 go **** up as they're, our problem as i'm a mere 24 years old, is that they often end up over judging their abilities & stepping over the line which is staying in control.
I think the point to remember however thou is that as already mentioned u will come across risky drivers in every walk & stage of life, each have their pros & cons but i'm hoping 2 keep clear of any such risks whether they are in the form of the cliched boy racer, white van man, oap or mondeo man. Easier said than done but we can but hope & i similarly wish every1 good luck in being able to do so

Funki,
A "Ned" is a youthful lowlife with criminal tendancies. Tend to hang about in groups which gives them bravado. Pretty useless on their own.
Not to be confused with a "young person" who may also demonstrate similar taste in clothing, hairstyle and also like to hang about in groups like a "Ned" but without the criminal tendancies

let em get on with it Diablo - rise above it an all that - I've still got my original and first car with which I was that ***as a youngster - it's even more lairy nowadays, but 12 years of modding has made it a surprisingly capable car - I get nods of respect from spotty oiks on Pizza bikes and laughs of derision from P1s etc - it's tres amusing - driving a beige Vectra on a daily basis allows you to see this effect from every angle - the bottom line is people acting on stereotypes says more about them than it does you - don't give yourself an ulcer over it
