Dissapointed to go along the M60 between stockport and trafford park, and be warned of the 40 mph cameras that went weeks ago! I thought they'd been taken out of the database now?

Update: The above mentioned cameras are no longer on the database after my last update
Still the last one missing at the bottom of Mottram Moor off the a57 though
Other than that, the unit is performing flawlessly, no probs here

Update: My in car power lead isn't working I fear I may have shorted it out somehow. Andy at Prosport says that putting large things like this leads adapter in the *** lighter can cause the pins to bend too far apart, and loose contact, but upon fixing that, the unit still wouldn't power up. I've already had the unit back in the house to check all was well on the mains transformer, and it is Just the incar power. Email sent to sales about the problem, lets see how long they take to respond.

Hi morgan, yep, still happy with the unit, bit of a chance for an update here too
The lead issue was fixed by recieving a pm off the drive smart boss, telling me of issues with plugging the unit into cigar lighters on cars, and fusing the units lead. This was confirmed by andy at prosport, saying the subaru was particulaly susceptable to this, as it's a crap design of lighter socket. I fixed it by buying a replacement fuse first of all, then bought a lighter socket extender, which is a 1 into 3 unit. I now plug the power lead into that, and that stays permanantly plugged into the scooby lighter socket.
I've recently been caught speeding in Belgium too and can confirm that buried in the dash as mine is, the police don't realise what it is. There was some worry that he'd recognise it, and destroy it, but he didn't
On the other hand, it was crap abroad, with a LOT of false alarms to and from the Nurburgring. The only time it was useful, was as we were nearing the ring, and there were a number of cameras on the entry to villages in that region, which it picked up. I wish it'd alerted me to the so-called speed trap that I got caught in, but it didn't.
The euro database was worthless, with speed camera warnings all the way back around Brussels and through Belgium, with not one camera sited.
That needs a lot of work on it, so if you're using it abroad, don't rely on it.

I think having red light cameras in the database is not a good thing. So slagging road angel for not having them is not a good thing either.
Getting caught speeding in a made up, unnecessarily low, revenue gathering speed limit at 03:00 in the morning is one thing that should be defended against. But deliberately jumping red lights is not big or clever, just plain bad driving and dangerous. And if you're not going to jump them deliberately why do you need to know where they are?
Stick to speed cameras. People jumping red lights should be caught and prosecuted.

Haven't fitted the defender yet, as tbh, I don't see the point! If you get a warning you've been lasered, it's too late!
