Have had several root canal fillings. Most have had minor problems afterwards. When the root is destroyed the tooth dies and on mine they ended up cracking or breaking as they get brittle over time. The result was back in to have crowns fitted. Since then no problems. I would have another and not want them pulled out. Ouch..........

First had it done 20+ years ago on a couple of molars. Long time ago but it was more uncomfortable than painful.

About 6 years ago went to my (new) dentist for a checkup. After x-rays he told me that the original (silver) implants were corroding away at the bottom

I had to get them all drilled out and replaced with modern non-metallic ones.

That was NOT fun

I'd say just get it removed - if its one of your back teeth people arent going to see the gap, and it wont make much difference to eating.

I had two back teeth out ( top and bottom ) a few weeks ago, was fine apart from needing 9 pain killing injections as I seem to be a bit immune to them for some reason.

Healed up in a few days and was only sore around the gums, mainly from where the needle had gone in so many times.
