Higher resolution means a larger picture. Therefore the larger the screen the better the effect the smaller the screen the less impact there is.
I have to disagree, the larger the screen size the less the effect of HD. If I was to play a 720p movie on a 36" HD TV then pull that same 720p signal up to 10' across on my Projector then the wow factor of HD is lost.
I've seen this first hand with my Xbox360 way before any other HD siganls were out in this country (yes I can download HD TV from bittirrent too )
HD is only needed now because the TV size that people want in the home is getting bigger and bigger.

I'd have to say IMO the xbox360 is the most impressive of all the HD at the moment. The difference between 1080i on a good plasma/LCD is massive compared to it via scart on a CRT.

They finally installed mine on Bank Holiday monday.
If I've watched over an hour of hi duf since it was installed I'd be surprised.
Waste of time and money, although my eyes are crap.
Echo comments about content- there are only so many different things a tiger can eat; although it does look nice on a great big HD plasma the novelty wears off- after minutes in my case.
