Scott.T,

Once again another post from someone who hasn't got a clue.

I was one of the first to defend branko in the deleted thread, but that does not mean that what the people complaining were saying was not justified.

These people felt that they had receieved poor customer service. No one felt that the job of mapping and supplying equipment was anythign less than first rate. It was felt they were treated rudely and so they complained openly.

It is entirely wrong of you to assume they are a minority, as ultimately your experiences can onlyu amount to those of one person also.

I still feel there were easily a significant number of people making their voices heard for their opinions to be valid.

One person is enough, and if one feels grieved just because they are a minority doesnt mean they should have no say. People were not jumping on the bandwagon. They were voicing their own grievances due to their own experiences, I think it is entirely wrong of you to belittle them.

Can't scoobynet get away with the usual email tag of 'Opinions expressed herein are not those of scoobynet but those of the individual author'. Most companies tag this sort of thing onto every email sent.

Manufacturers should be encouraged to defend themselves and free speech should be encouraged. However I realise that sometimes things can go too far and perhaps individual statements within threads should be deleted.

In this case as I didn't read the original postings but am left with a nagging bad feeling about BRD - as I'm sure are many others. This is of no benefit to them and I hope they feel free to make some sort of statement to rebuff the negative postings. I did speak to branko once and while he didn't seem to be the friendliest person I've ever spoken too he wasn't rude or unhelpful.

Red face

Reality check:
No-one questioned the aforementioned company's
1.integrity
2.quality of service
3.quality of products
4.aftersales support
On the contrary Mr Rawle always enlightened the bbs with his comments and I never heard anything but excellent words for his work
All that was said (me inclusive) was that a fellow at the phone with etremely poor communication skills.
No-one complained that he gave anybody false info, misled anybody in his communications.

*Thats all* nothing more nothing less.
If this annoys some people then dont do bussiness with them (I did exactly that, i m gonna pay 4 times over to get a MoTeC but then again thats my vice: i like being treated as royalty as a customer)
Regarding thred deletion Everybody can critisize but at the end of the day its Simons call,
I for one consider the matter rather trivial with no hidden "freedom of speech connotations".

Adam M,

Your right I havn't got a clue. But that's cause the post was deleted !!!!!!!
So the information obtained is limited.

I expect that we won't be seeing Bob's help posted on this BBS any longer, along with Power Engineering and Barratts who have also been slated by individuals on this BBS in the past and no longer post.

All of the above used to provide alot of help via Scoobynet to those in the Scoobynet community with diagnostic problems.

However, due to the negative inputs that are posted about them by the minority (and yes it is a minority as there are currently 8961 members to this BBS), we all lose their helpful feedback.

Cheers Guys.....

Do you really think there are circa 8000 posters on scoobynet?

registered members are a different thing.

You have still missed the point however.

the thread was deleted not because it was anti a company but because it was turning into a witch hunt which may have had legal implications.

Simon posted to the tune of you can say what you like so long as you state opinions and make this clear.

eg. I felt I was very badly treated by branko.

there is nothing wrong with saying that.

Had this thread been written using statements all constructed in this way it would still be here. BUT the effect of such derogatory statements would be the same on brd as were the statements against power engineering some time back, so in essence they would still leave.

What you are suggesting is that we should not speak out when we are dissatisfied because they sometimes help people.

I have never heard such rubbish.

The point of the bbs is to help others. If people feel their experiences should affect other peoples choices then let them post so long as they are stating facts or making it clear they are opinions.

Once again I am not sure you know enough about the situations you quote to be commenting.

PE were responsible for the destruction of morays car after they failed to secure a boost line, for which they admitted liability and attempted to put the problem right.

Anders car issue was never resolved but if you take a look at the evidence then you can make up your own mind whose fault the situation was.

All that was said was that several cars were known to have failed engines after a pe phase 1 conversion including tens of evos. It has not been proven that PE was a causal link but PE do not adevrtise mapping of imprezas anymore.

The companies are not perfect so why should they be immune from criticism?

Scoobysport, NAM, scoobymania etc haev all taken it in the past and used the board to explain themselves I believe with out detriment to their businesses, I see no reason why BRD should not be subject to the same treatment.

Bobs reputation will not be affected by this, and it is bob's expertise that people pay for not branko's business abilities.

I can only see that such a thread if responsibly written would only improve the service that customers of BRD experience.

Talking

Well must say it wouldnt put me off phoning them or using them to be honest! if they are good at what they do thats what matters. i have had informative replys and read infomative posts from Bob. didnt see original post but did you phone and ssk to speak to bob himelf to make him aware of how you felt? im sure from reading his posts he seems very communicative and reasonable and im sure the boss of any company doesent mind a genuine complaint and putting things right to keep business. if you did go to the organ grinder and got know joy then fair play to you. but i know after only a few months on here some people are quite touchey and no matter what you say or how you say it, its never correct. alot of morsl high grounders me thinks. just my 2p worth, freedom of speech and all that Cheers Lee

I enjoy my email bouts with Branko

At the end of the day people make their own minds up - anyone sensible reading even this post will realise here's a company with individuals that really know their stuff. Imagine how boring life would be if everyone agreed on everything, lol!

Oh, I understand why the post was deleted and agree.
