(Despite two weeks worth of baked on dead insect life and sahara sand rains!!)
mike and other half,
thanks for the chance to burn (and i mean burn....ask paige) my wee car around those lovely country roads, had to slow down at one point cos i was making myself feel sick!!!!
paige thought it was great especially my newly acquired art of 3 point/2point turns ha ha ha
i too didnt know the roads.... and i dont recommend doing a treasure hunt like this ..alone with child
.. became cross only a few times just cos i didnt know where i was, other half got the wrath of my temper
and helped me out only cos i threatened to go home, but then sent me the wrong way for the next clue
but he was very patient with me
.
but hey we came joint 3rd
(doing all map reading, route planning and driving) and i thought cw42 got off lightly cos it would have probably been worse if we were sat in the car together......
the highlight of the tour was when i kindly asked a man gardening if i could take his photo, think he still had the silver spoon from birth stuck up his A#S*!!!!
paige and i had great fun, and next time, cos we will do one again, us girls will be ready and in it to win!!!!(i've calmed down a bit now, the ironing got the wrath of my temper
)
thanks again
Joh

Blackpool Big One - organised by RedWRX who makes a packet for charity.
Usually a big turnout from all over the north west, but can often be a slow procession across and back the sea front at Blackpool - through the lights.
LOL as we usually get lots of abuse from the local Saxo/Nova boys - envy is a very bad trait.
And you must give 10 quid to the first passerby who sees 50 scoobies in a line and asks - "Is there a Subaru Owners Club meet on or something?"

LOL
My dad was feeling a bit low yesterday so he asked if he could take the Scoob out to cheer himself up. I suggested finishing off the route of the treasure hunt as a way of taking his mind off work. I showed him the places Pete and I didn't get to and he planned a route round them (with me adding in a few cross country shortcuts where his 'mental map' of the area was lacking.
Here are the photos:

***Not on the Treasure Hunt but a stunning view to North Wales anyway***

These might not be the views Mike was intending to take but proof that we went to the places anyway. And on some fantastic roads too. My dad had a huge grin when we got in.
Not looking forward to actually organising one!
LOL - Only messing - I have a couple of ideas to add.
