It was £80 delivered, the length and curve were perfect, but it doesn't quite lay totaly flat at the edges. I've applied a little sealant along the front to close the gap. Can't really see it without getting really close.
I think if i'd got a plastic one, it would flex more so no gapping problems. The carbon one's really rigid!

This is where i got it.BMW E46 4D M3 type Real Carbon Fiber Trunk Boot spoiler on eBay, also Body Modifications, Exterior Styling, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 24-Jan-09 10:03:18 GMT)
Ordered it on the 30th dec, came yesterday(5th jan). Which i thought was really quick as it came from Taiwan.
The quality is perfect, not cheap at all.I'll try and get some better pics up.
I've only just discovered this thread, some wicked ideas!
Frayz your stuff is excellent!

Not really a one off mod as im sure others have done the same, just never seen it.
I wrapped my downpipe, then used aluminium tape to seal it, to stop water ingress and also to prevent it getting tatty over time.

It's been in for a couple weeks now, no problems. I've used this stuff for exhaust gaskets ect for years. It's stated as flame retardant, and good for high temp applications.
Also, it's wraped underneath with heat wrap, so it's not subject to the downpipes full temp when hot.

Cut the centre bit out with a dremel type tool, then sanded it down, a little bit of filler and sprayed it with some satin black paint

ps...where in S E London or Kent are you as i'm only in Eltham

I agree it's a great thread.

Perhaps a "sticky" somewhere would be helpful?

Very smart Ricey - I'll be doing mine once I decide on the colour of my seats

In the meantime, a stealth cold air duct

cheers.

not too bad to adjust, i mean, its not like you need to adjust it 10 times in a journey so no issues really, think ive adjusted the speed/temp twice in the last 2 weeks
