roeder would be a poor choice

he has no top league experience and newcastle are a huge club with famous following. i know a die hard newcastle fan near me - god knows why hes never been to st james.

anyway roeder wasnt given a harsh deal at west ham he was backed a lot and couldnt get the players to keep them up nor play in championship! besides hes had since west ham to get his badges - does that REALLY show you he wants to manage a top club?

i cant see him getting the big names in and i cant see him managing when under pressure - hes had nothing to loose at all since he took over and has even stated all be it far too much he doesnt want the job. of course hed love it.......the good thing was that souness did such a bad job anyone would look good in comparison

another bad appointment for me if he gets it and i can see newcastle becoming a fulham type club.

should never have sacked sir bobby! lol martin oneill would be a poor choice too. hes only into long ball stuff. its a tough choice. after today id give it to curbishley.

first thing newcastle needs is stability and who else is better at that?

I have the same concerns that he wouldnt attract the big names but..

his track record as Toon manager to date is excellent
the players like him and want to play for him
he's not afraid to drop the big names and bring in the youngsters
having been a player at SJP he does seem to have an affinity for the place
the fans like him

I dont think Sourness qualified for any of the above, the w*nker.

Why not give him a year, I think he's earned it!

Who, the moron who wasted over £70,000,000 The idiot who couldn't spell, "tactics" let alone work some out - the fool who couldn't remember the names of his own players - the plonker who argued with NUFC fans during home games - the w@nker who couldn't put players in their correct positions. I could go on, but I won't. Thank God he's gone.

So, back to the more important business of who will be the next Manager of Newcastle Utd.

The EPL having seen fit to allow Bryan Robson take his Pro badge whilst managing West Brom, have denied the same courtesy to Glenn Roeder. Do we wait a month and see if the EPL Clubs will vote in our favour, or appoint someone else?

No point hanging around as far as I can see. 1 week maybe, but not 4, to find out the Clubs won't back us. Next please!
